I think Pat sold out. These videos of him about the making of his albums has become this self obsession over himself, VERY cheesy, selling coffee cups, t-shirts, the DI ADario Strings advertisement is beyond pathetic and an embarrassment. Many questions. What happened to Lyle? Dropped like a hot potato. No mention of tribute to him? Then that album where he plays every instrument with this automated robot machines, showing us he is suppose to be this "god" figure, and year by year the record albums just get worse and worse. But what is particularly disturbing is that most real sincere artist, let their music speak for itself, Pat seems to parade himself on bragging about every album, as "The first time" as if he has discovered the cure for cancer. I won't buy it.

I have been a fan since the the 70's. I love this music- this is the kind of music I want playing in my house all day- creating a mood of serenity. One of my all time favorites was the song ".Are you going with me". Played it on a loop- listened to it full volume coasting down Pacific Coast Hwy. Also loved Bat part 2. 5 decades of great music- still a fan! Don't stop!🎸

I wrote a 2 star review on a crappy record Pat made about 3 years ago on Amazon, his manager contacted me asking me to please remove the comment and listen again, he bugged me for 2 weeks offering me concert tickets coffe mugs -t-shirts- anything and everything to change my review. I knew then what control freaks they were with their propaganda.

I consider myself a serious musician who has dedicated their entire life to writing and creating music in the jazz genre similar to Pat. But I had to hold down 2 jobs, work on my automobile, (grease wrenches) chainsaw trimming trees, plumbing, electrical problems, paying for 3 kids to go to school, doing construction work, playing shitty bars, having to have cuts on my fingers, broken knuckles, bruises, and what not. My point is, all Pat has been doing his entire life is playing guitar, 320 days a year, concerts, guitar techs making sure his strings are in tune, making everything perfect for a guy that can spend every minute of his life playing and writing. What about the rest of us? Did we ever get the chance? Would any one of us be better than Pats music if we were ever given a chance instead of having to survive and do chores getting very limited time to do what we love also? To me the guy has never worked a job, invested in family time, had any real interests besides himself. He never had to cut his hands or fingers, for over 50 years, just walks on stage to applause, people worship and adore him, and never even realize how fortunate he is, and the rest of my extremely talented friends who are musicians, they can’t find 30 minutes in the week to play their instruments. I don’t think what he is producing is any better than Kenny G who he has in the past insulted to an extreme level, pure inhumane trashing and insulting as if he thinks he is the greatest musician on the planet. I mean really, what is so special about what he is doing? I use to think he was something, but not anymore.
