Thanks for making the video and pointing out a few things. You are completely right in saying Covid really took a turn on the entire area. It used to be over 20 different LGBT venues with a variety of bars, restaurants etc. After reopening from a total lockdown there was a monopolised scene but there is now a new kid on the block. Cruise Club just opened up in the old location of the Boat Bar familiar to many visitors. You didn’t mention the Wivat Wis clothing shop, the Heaven Bar, the oldest and still open or Honeymoon restaurant run by Khun Kenya famous from The Seahag restaurant previously on the beach road. As you say the street is loud and noisy. It’s difficult to have a conversation so you should have visited Phuket Gay Homestay and their Saturdays Gaytherings. It’s a weekly social event with food, drinks and friends. A dinner buffet at a long table will have you in conversation with locals, expats and other tourists in a way impossible at Paradise complex. The place is clothing optional, has a large swimming pool and steam sauna. Some even call it a mini Babylon and old visitors to Bangkok knows the dearly missed reference. Phuket compared to the big city Bangkok and Pattaya and Chiang mai all with a LGBT scene, should not forget what Phuket is and why the popularity. On this Island we have over 45 fantastic beaches and if that’s not enough we have all the small Islands around suitable for day tours. Clean Air, clean water can be added to the comparison.

Hello! Thanks you so much for your comment. We're sure our viewers will find the information immensely helpful. We were in Phuket for only a few days, in Patong Beach. I will be visiting there next week! The businesses took a huge hit from Covid, with many closed because of it. The area is coming back, more businesses opening. I'm surprised you didn't feature Wewat Wiz clothing store next to the massage parlors. Also, you walked past the bath house sandwiched between the 2 streets. Great job guys. THANKS!

Other than Heaven Bar in the center Isle of the complex and Cruise Bar which has no chairs all the other gay bars in Paradise is owned by one man (Thai). Prices have doubled for drinks since the pandemic and it has gotten twice as loud! Heaven bar is nice and most of that bars customers are the older gentlemen since they don't try to blow out your eardrums! The gay scene has been and is being killed off, for the love of money, power and apps!

A very mixed vibe in Patong, we found all the bars to be welcoming to both men and women. I'm sure you will have lots of fun. Have a great time 🌈 x

No videos of Pattaya Boyztown and Jomtien Complex, which you say you prefer? Good video, but I will stick with Jomtien and the company you can find. Oil massage 300 baht, with all extra services available. Short time 500 baht, if you meet a nice new friend. Drinks similar prices. Even has a gay section on the beach (concession 20)

Hi Julie. Thailand is not for everyone. It's a lot different to what we're used to in Europe 🌍 but we think you'll enjoy the video coming out on Sunday. Hi Shane. If you're talking about the Royal Paradise Hotel 🏨, we weren't recommending it, other than as a reference point for finding the LGBT+ area of Patong. We haven't ever been inside the hotel so we couldn't say what it is like. As for other recommendations, we've only been to Patong once and we only have experience of the hotel we stayed in, which was beautiful but too far out of town for liking. When we booked this holiday, our travel agent (Hays) arranged everything we asked for - we only wish we'd ask for centrally located accommodation! We would happily book a Thailand holiday with them in future 🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭 We hope this helps a bit 😁

Hi Rob! We actually had a massage where the sign said there were no happy endings. Zig bar definitely dominated the street, to its detriment. The smaller bars really couldn't create their own atmosphere because all you could hear was the music blasting out of Zig bar. The adjacent street only had 2 bars but they were completely different from each other, giving customers some choice, at least 🌅 xx

They are what they seem, Peaky, cannabis outlets. The Thai government legalised cannabis in order to stimulate the economy after COVID. To say there's a cannabis shop, cafe or bar on every corner would be a vast understatement 🇹🇭

We loved all the places we visited. Our favourite was AoNang. We also visited Koh Samui (videos coming up soon!). Chiang Mai sounds fantastic and we hope to visit there next time we're in Thailand, Steven 🇹🇭🐒👍
