Although Joe’s explanation for firing his therapist at 1:11:00 is understandable and he has the right to his feelings, it’s also why therapists burnout. He needs a private therapist that is on call and he is a priority or the only client (they’re out there). Clients don’t consider that almost EVERY client thinks their situation is 911 and worthy of extra time & Every client wants to go over time, send follow up emails, and uses “emergency” as the reason to ask for more. Boundaries must be respected by all. Your appointment is all that is obligatory. Legally, the only thing that’s “911” is threatened self-harm or harm to others which the therapist would report to proper higher level support. Again, I understand his sentiments and the 90 minute session should’ve moved to solutions/next steps at the 45 minute mark. The last 45 minutes should’ve been solutions (25 minute) and practice (20 minute). However, the 90 minutes is IT!
@Moon-vw4gf
@Moon-vw4gf 11 ай бұрын
That’s not all that he said though. He said that th therapist didn’t properly manage time and move the conversation forward between he and his girl during the session.

There needs to be more normalization and understanding of "what therapy is" in our community. There were multiple misunderstandings displayed in this episode. This isn't the first episode that it's been said, either. Therapy does not replace eldership, personal intuition, family or other intimate support systems. Therapy becomes part of your entire network of care. It is support. Not replacement. Everyone needs wraparound support.

I'm from North Philly and never had a problem walking through any projects. From blumberg to 11th and Cumberland and 2 different spots in the Bronx and a spot out Connecticut. Even Atlantic City projects. It's all about your approach. Ain't no point of walking through like a tough guy if your mission is to see a girl. No point of grilling niggas or looking people up and down. It be the niggas that can't control their eyes. And of course the niggas that's from that project is gonna be looking at you if you're not a familiar face. It's simple as a glance back and keep it pushing. Most niggas respect game.

@@oladeebiazazi4538 they're a superfood. I recommend ones that are cold water caught... If you do end up getting them in a non R month ... All months are ok for cold ... They can be high in bacteria (think yogurt) which is what makes em bad in hot water months .... and the protein, iron, magnesium, B12 (cobalamin), potassium, zinc, omegas....shit is really pound for pound some of the highest concentrations of any food you can find ... They're kind of ick to look at but quickly you can get hooked especially if you like salt/spice and you control most of that with the horseradish and cocktail sauce garnishments.
