With due respect to KW, This version makes his look amateurish in my opinion. Nothing can top this example of perfect collaboration. Master Class in every way. Blessed to be exposed to such flawlessness from Stan Walker's Commanding lead vocals, the band and backing vocals, and the recording. Chance the rapper featured on Kanye West's version of this song which was to acknowledge their Faith and values. This cover was created in support of the BLM Movement due to everything that was happening over in America. The fact that Stan Walker had his stomach removed 2018 due to a cancerous gene that was in his family bloodline. (Losing over 20+ family members) and can still sing so effortlessly is a testimony in itself. 🙏 Much Respect to KW but they definitely vocally killed this cover ❤ Much Love from New Zealand

Stan is the best!!! In every way, not just as an artist, but as a person. He's been through a lot in his life. There is a documentary here on KZbin which follows his cancer journey and explains his family's genetic health challenges. His stomach was removed due to this. To be singing like this is just beyond incredible ❤️

"The Levites" is the band. I think the name of the background singing group is "The Standard". There are so many beautiful Stan Walker songs... past and present!! You gotta hear Don't Dream It's Over for sure! And Stan keeps old school R&B alive on track 11 on his latest album "All In". Tune called Never Be Alone. Check it out and Enjoy!

Stan is amazing and one of my favourite artists. He won the last Australian idol and is from New Zealand, should check out Guy Sebastian who won the first Australian idol and is just as good as Stan in my opinion. Guy Sebastian “battles scars” live acoustic at the home front in a must to check out

Many will tell you about Stan and the Levites version of Amazing Grace / I Surrender. Trust me, that's my next request AFTER next month's Jelly Roll (sorry to ruin the surprise but Jelly is another favourite). I know we've done several Amazing Grace's (including last month's reaction by Cakra Khan) and didn't want to push too many at you but, ah, yeah, it's "unexpected". There was a "kind of" rap section in this song (and Stan did it) if you listen but honestly the man can sing. Stan is a Cancer survivor. He literally has no stomach. The man is incredible. In this performance (and Amazing Grace) you actually notice the background vocals. In fact here they get not one but two major individual runs EACH in the song. Was there "production" on the song? They recorded in a studio, of course there was BUT it wasn't brutally obvious. We kind of figured you didn't listen to the Kanye version when you kept getting the song title wrong (lol). In so far as Mr. West goes, like faith, you can't force help really on someone if they don't think they need it or want it. By this I mean you can't force someone to have true faith. They must accept it. Help goes the same way. You must want it, ask for it and actively try to work with it for the best results. All you can really do is pray that they try and seek it out, maybe show them examples to inspire the choice. Oh the choice AFTER Stan's Amazing Grace/I Surrender mashup, ah, SURPRISE (lol).
