I'm a Canadian Kiwi fan of STAN's since I first hear him in 2009 on Australian Idol. I agree - the man is incomparable as was stated by the many judges as well as Canadian star crooner MICHAEL BUBLE who was his mentor on the show. It's also well known that the Maori artists have the most wonderfully rich singing voices - listen to TEEKS as well as HOLLIE SMITH and TIKI TANE

I do believe you were stanning Stan Walker! 😜He's from New Zealand and won Australian Idol in 2009. Much loved in New Zealand and Australia - he's a gentle, humble soul with an incredibly powerful voice. He also bravely fought stomach cancer. I'd recommend "Amazing Grace - Live with The Levites"

He was born in Melbourne Australia, but has moved to New Zealand, as his heritage is Maori. He has had a lot of health issues and has done so well for himself. He was my favourite on Australian Idol that season. He has only gotten better with every passing year

We love our Stan here in New Zealand....his version of Don't dream it's over with a mix of English and our native Maori language is stunning....and he's just a lovely Maori boy, with all the beautiful humility and heart of our people here. Stan had a rough time for awhile... his daughter passed away, then he was hit by an illness that almost took him out and when he finally recovered he didn’t even know if he would be able to continue as an artist... but he rose up stronger than before. ❤️🙌

Would love to see you react to Stan's version of Don't Dream It's Over (originally by Crowded House). Stan is one of the greats. He has been through a lot in his life, which is covered in a documentary here on youtube, well worth a watch. Listening to him sing the song I've suggested above brings tears to my eyes. Stan is very special. A true overcomer. He has no stomach as he inherited a genetic gene that causes stomach cancer and has killed a lot of his family. He too was found to have cancer and you can watch his journey on his you tube channel. His life story reflects thru the power of his singing. He tangata kaha, he toa nui.
