Love kennedy center honors concerts. Rob Mathes is an amazing musician and arrangervand conductor for this venue.

Thanks so much again for this reaction Dan. Phenominal performance and reaction. Probably my favourite cover of this song. The addition of the choir just adds another level of emotion, as does the fact the Led Zep guys clearly felt it too!

Awesome version and great reaction Dan. Yes definitely not one to pause!! What a difference the choir made as well.

I wish somebody would just take down all copies of this goofy, edited version of it so people would stop reacting to it. The other is so much better.

This was the last song of a 4 song tribute to Zeppelin, and Ann and Nancy was the last song. Jack Black did the long introduction and video setup, and Foo Fighters and Lenny Kravitz were two of them who all came back on stage at the end there. They were all good too, Lenny was almost as good as this.

Dave played for rehearsal because Jason Bonham wasnt there yet. Dave played "Rock and Roll" on drums with his band foo fighters.

I heard it said that Jason Bonham would only play on this cover if they got Ann Wilson to do the vocals. Kudos to Jason….what an awesome choice….because her vocal range is perfect for this song.

That's true. The Kennedy Center reached out to him first and he said he'd do it as long as Ann Wilson was the singer. They mentioned a couple of other options and he said "Ann or nothing.".

Hate this veraion. You barely see or hear Ann 😢

This is about a fullness of emotion. Multiple layers where no one element, like vocals, is what carries the performance. Everyone has their turn. That's why there was a brass section, reeds, string section, several guitars, keyboard, and 2 choirs. It was the pièce de résistance. Open your mind.
