I loved this as a kid.....my first ever Action Force tpy. I really like the colour of the US and Canadian one compared to the UK version. I'm liking the anniversary one too.

The way it rolls reminds me of an old toy tank I've had when I was 5 or 6 years old and my dad got me. It wasn't G.I. Joe, but more like a military kind of toy. It was also battery-powered and it was based on US Sharman tank from 1940's. I've had so much fun letting it go over the beds and various other obstacles I put on its way :D

Giving Steeler an Uzi makes sense since the Uzi was often used by tanker crews who could not carry a full length rifle in the tank.

I got the MOBAT for my 10th birthday back in 1982, and I still have it today. I’ll never forget how my dad, who was in the Army reserves, was enthralled with it. He was amazed at how it, as he described, sounded like a real tank, and he loved how it would roll over stacks of books or whatever else you put in it’s path. This tank holds a dear memory for me.

I never had a MOBAT or Mauler when I was younger. I always loved the classic design and tons of fun for playability. It is so awesome to see some of these relics still functional after all this time.

I can still remember when my dad got this for me for christmas. it blew my tiny little mind! something so cool about the treads going over everything in the back yard. I still have it but lost the figure. this just reminded me… remember the Tyco Fast Traxx remote control car?! Great Video as always!

This was my first and probably my favorite vehicle next to maybe the Cobra Rattler probably because I had something in common with Steeler being from Pittsburgh and all, I remember building obstacles with my brother trying to see how unstoppable the MOBAT was fun times

The Mobat will always enjoy a special place in my heart and memory as the first GI Joe vehicle I ever got as a kid (followed quickly by the RAM.) Great memories of playing with it in the backyard and then many many years later watching my son play with my original one. Great video - thanks for posting - YOJOE!

Mine has been in my collection since I was a kid. I currently have it sitting intact on top of my IKEA Detolf. It still works great and looks brand new. I also have the blueprints and Steeler (complete and swivel-arm).

His green color is closer to the actual jumpsuit-style crewman overalls typically worn by tank crews. I loved my MOBAT.. until the Mauler came out 😏

I was gonna say that it probably an accurate representation of the color of the suits tank crews wore and still do. I can’t speak for 80s crews but at the end of the 90s I was driver on M1A1 and we wore Nomex suits that were more or less the exact color Steeler is wearing.

I had this for the Action Force brand of this from the UK. It was awesome in every way. Nothing like running over groups of bad guys and Ewoks (the Ewoks always went bad) with your tank.

I just recently got my first Mobat! Well the UK Action force version and I love it! One thing about that re-release; it’s a shame it doesn’t have a tow hook. How are they going bring the heavy artillery to the battlefield?

If the motor works both sides should work. Internal turret toggle may not be engaged properly.

Acualy both treads has to post to move wen in foward position because there arent two motors that power each weel probably you had the turret a little bit to the left and that activaded one of the weels

I'm not sure if this is a Mandela effect or what? I remember getting Steeler and his birthplace on the back of the card was from Hamilton Ontario. Thats why I loved the toy. Was I just mistaken, or did he have two files?

it’s a nice little tank, but it’s not artillery…it was never used as artillery except in the mobile command base, even in the cartoon it wasn’t meant for up close battles. tanks are meant to battle tanks and vehicles up close and against each other, with infantry as extra. artillery battles both and does so from a distance: it’s why Grand Slam wasn’t used much in the show and comics
