Taylor’s fans know all the words to all her songs almost immediately after the first hearing❣️ This was an epic performance, I’ve not seen it for a while but I did watch it a fair few times back when it was doing the rounds‼️

People who 'hate' Taylor, have never actually listened to her. Maybe they listened to one song & decided they don't like her, but as you are learning, Taylor can sing all kinds of music & you can't put her in a tiny box. You don't like this song? Wel, check this one out instead. Too sappy? Check out this Diva performance? She can do it all.

I just watched another reaction video recently where someone said they didn't like her music but they'd only heard like 2 songs. How anyone can form an opinion that strong based on 2 songs out of literally hundreds is beyond me

She did this as a surprise song on the eras tour and it was one of the best ones

It’s crazy how many people still say she can’t sing when there are so many examples that she absolutely can lol they don’t actually listen or give her a chance

The bumps are called frisson. It’s when u hear something you really enjoy, it sends dopamine and oxytocin to your brain to give a hit to ur neurotransmitters. I get it all the time with music. Not everyone experiences it.

Taylor wrote one of my favorite songs performed by Little Big Town called "Better Man" it came out as I was leaving a 8 year relationship and helped me through the darkness of the break up! There is a video of Taylor performing the song also! This song is a good one to react to, both Taylor's version and Little Big Town's version!

The reason people who hate her are so stuck on her vocals as their excuse is because she wasn't as strong of a singer when she first started. She's a singer/songwriter, not a belter, so her power and range is more limited when compared to belters anyway, but as a teenager, she was still growing and strengthening her skill. (Obviously) People who hate her refuse to recognize that she's gotten better, or that she was just a kid back then in the first place. They probably haven't even listened to her since then to hear her growth, which I think is fantastic. She's so much better now at breath control and recognizing her range. She puts her power in her low range, which is the sweet spot, and goes soft in falsetto, which works for her. She used to have a more natural instinct to go too high for her range, and she tried to force it with too much power. Her control is much better now. She's a pro and always working on every form of her craft.

Yeah sadly if you show haters on Twitter specifically a performance that shows how great she is live, they’ll just laugh at you and say, “you think that’s good? You must have low standards”. People on KZbin are a lot more likely to give her a chance. So many people with reaction channels have changed their minds about her music & her as a performer after actually listening & watching. Unfortunately so many haters refuse to do that.

When she first started at 16 her voice was average at best. She has put sooooooo much work in and you can tell. A lot of those people saying she cant sing remember that first album and havent listened to anything since then to see her growth.

You have to react to the video of Taylor surprising the crowd at the Bon Iver concert and they sang “Exile” together with Aaron Dessner on the piano. It’s the only time they’ve sang it together live. Amazing!

5:34 ummmm there are substandard videos out there and when I say substandard I mean - not note perfect and definitely some shakiness in your younger voice. But it’s hard to be perfect live! She is phenomenal for 90% of what I have of her live which is the same for any other artists out there. People just find things to pick on all the time… it’s either- she’s lip syncing, auto tuned, or she gets a bum note and they all say she can’t sing 🤷♀️ I wonder if she’d get there quicker if she was a man 🤣
@kkf86236 ай бұрын
As a huge swiftie from the first album I think the “she can’t sing” comes from a couple award show performances where she was a bit off, I think from bad audio in her ears and also she sounded really nervous. It can happen to any artist and unfortunately people are so ready to hate that they take one performance and write her off, when there are 100 amazing ones to show what she can do. She has also grown into her voice. People forget she stated when she was so young!! Her voice needed time to mature and she needed to learn how to use it.

Unfortunately, some of the best, most impactful art has historically been based on pain - not happiness. Part of why Taylor has become so celebrated is precisely because of how she has converted her pain into great art. If she was happy and well-adjusted, or even just less talented at songwriting, she'd be a has-been by now. The ones who do mostly happy, bouncy stuff don't last very long in the business. Even her stuff that's happy and bouncy in sound has deeper, more profound messages than the usual.
