Mining is still necessary for materials used in the power acquisition and the materials to build turbines. Still, if we could focus on energy consumption and conservation more, you use less energy. And then, we could switch the sources. And then we could be more frugal with acquisition of materials, maybe even recycling all of the e-waste, rather than trying to dump it. We can do a lot better than we do. Rather than just burn everything, we could build. The sun gives us virtually everything in terms of light and heat, and everything depending on those things, and then the Earth gives us the rest. It just has to be done in a thoughtful way.
