From discovering a teenage Leroy Burgess, to writing, producing and arranging disco and ’80s R&B classics like Inner Life’s “I’m Caught Up (In A One Night Love Affair)” and Fonda Rae’s “Touch Me (All Night Long),” Mr. Patrick Adams has been an integral part of New York dance music history for over 30 years.
In his 90 minute talk at the 2013 Red Bull Music Academy, the boogie and disco icon discussed his formative years at the Apollo, his biggest disco hits, working with Eric B & Rakim, and more.
