I really, really love the romantic chemistry between Patrick/Richie (especially the Pato endearment) and omg, the pining/yearning vibe after they split - I could eat that stuff up with a spoon all day long! Seriously though, the break up scene - Raul and Jonathan totally smashed it acting wise, top notch performances! 💯👌😌

And so many of their scenes are shot without a lot of cutting, so there's no place to hide, and we can really see the incredibly "natural" chemistry of their characters' give-and-take. They are both fantastic listeners as actors.

Aww Richie watched Goonies, he did it for Patrick. Also so cute whenever Richie calls him Pato and the look Patrick and Richie have at the Halloween party. It was love at first sight too. Basically they are just so cute together and a perfect match. So glad they were endgame

Kevin was on grindr and since he cheated on his other boyfriend to be with Patrick, Patrick's paranoia made him feel he would do the same with him. Patrick's immaturity cost him Richie in the beginning so it stands to reason after he grew a little, he would want to do better with him. All the characters grew so that's what made the show worth watching.

@@101620DAR Richie knew from since the bus that he wanted to be with Patrick. He believed in honesty and loyalty. Kevin was attracted to Patrick and as it progressed he struggled to make the right decision for both of them. When Patrick left he went straight back to his old boyfriend. What does that say? He needs a safety net at all times. When Richie saw that Patrick had become more assertive and didn't care what other's thought, he couldn't walk away. He always loved him. I prefer Richie. The series was cut so that's where the movie came in to tie up everything. I will agree though that the movie ending could have been done a little better.

@@101620DAR Had Patrick truly listened to Dom in the beginning there would have been no Kevin. Richie was who his heart wanted. Kevin from the beginning was presented as his social / professional equal so more acceptable to his mother. Patrick's immaturity and need to please his mother contributed to his break up with Richie. His relationship with Kevin came with baggage. His relationship with Richie he created the baggage. From a writer's perspective the characters had to show growth to keep the storyline going. Plus Richie was a favorite. People empathized with him so Kevin had to mess up to (a) make Patrick likeable again and (b) create an avenue for them be together. Actually for me the person that could have been left out was Brady. He was annoying from the beginning and petulant at the ending. It went against Richie's character to be in that relationship. Lastly going back to your previous comment, had Kevin been obsessively in love with Patrick, he shouldn't need Patrick's rejection to make that decision to leave.
