Out of all the soap operas I've ever watched in my life, I've never seen a couple who seem so realistic in their emotions. The tears were real and heartfelt! This was so heartbreaking! I never cried so much watching a soap opera!

I remember when Kimberly and Jason did that fan get together in May 2012, shortly after she left. Her and Jason were talking about empty tears, and talking about people that can convey emotion so the viewer and fan feels the emotion coming from the scene, and that’s what the two of them do,every single time...

I can't believe she didn't win one in her adult career on the show with all the fabulous storylines she had with Patrick and the way she delivered them... I don't even think she was nominated! something's very wrong with that picture and even with Jason, I know he was nominated, I think it was 5-6 years in a row! I can't believe he didn't win once back then! so glad he finally won one on y&r, but I think he deserved one even more so as Patrick. seems like a popularity contest instead of awarding them to the most deserving people. This pair should've won at least a couple during their Scrubs days 💞💞

This reminds me so much of when Robin lost Stone in their last moments together, when his eye sight he came back so he could see her one last time. how scared and how sad she was so I totally understand her not wanting to put Patrick through this, but I’m quite happy that she actually finally told him what was going on. realizing that he wants to be there for her he said he love her til the end of the time.

It didn't make sense to me because as painful as it was to watch Stone die, she would be there for him and regret it if she wasn't and would be angry and not listen to Stone if he pushed her away and that is what she was trying to do with Patrick.

@@sarahswomley2580 I agree. I also think that she was 17 when Stone died, she’s grown up a lot. A lot of changes have happened in medical research as well, and she knows that.. I think the biggest problem was the writers that were doing this did not pay attention to the backstory and understand that Robin has been carrying this around her HIV status since 1995 that’s 17 years, that’s a long time. She was just emotional about it because her memory is how she dealt with Stone. Patrick’s a doctor. So if she had not done it this way, Patrick would’ve never found that DVD to watch as she left him for the following Christmas

Watching these clips again, I'm reminded of when my b/f died almost 30 years ago of Cancer. He lived in another state and we had an off-and-on relationship for 6 years. I almost broke up with him right before he knew he was sick as I was wanting more. If I had, he probably would have never told me he was ill and I would have found out after he was gone. I'm glad that didn't happen, b/c he told me and we got to say things that needed to be said and I saw him twice before he died 7 months later. If I found out after the fact, I would have regretted it for the rest of my life. Too bad Robin didn't think of it that way.

Re-watching the scene it makes me realize that what Robin was doing was projecting her feelings when Stone got sick on Patrick. Robin you were 17 years old when your first love got AIDS and then you got HIV. you are now a grown woman and Patrick is a grown man, you’re both doctors as well. so as much as I understand emotion playing a part in this, the writers could’ve done it a different way. Patrick and Robin got more time to deal with thus and we got to see the emotional depth of both these actors. Especially because Kimberly was going to be leaving so shortly after

It’s almost surreal that Robin just was going to disappear, and Patrick’s here falling apart thinking that she’s going to be out there and he’s gonna have no idea how she’s doing. but that it did happen when she was taken away by Victor Cassadine in March 2014. Maybe it’s just me but Patrick moved on, maybe so he’s focus on his baby with Sabrina, or maybe was because he was focused on Emma, or focused on being a good doctor, but he didn’t seem to worry about her. I never understood how they could write it like that. I remember him telling Sam and Maxi after I found out that Robin had been coerced and held against her will and he felt so guilty because he hadn’t tried to have a conversation with her, because he was so angry. I’m thinking why would you not talk to your wife? tell her how angry you are. There’s just so much more they could’ve done with that story line, that’s when I really think the character development failed.

This is gonna sound like the strangest question but in a lot of scenes you’ll see Patrick wearing a necklace some kind of chain around his neck, but when you see him without a shirt, he never has it on...so do they just have it on in certain scenes maybe it’s Jason’s personal jewelry?

I had always thought one of the reason she didn’t tell Patrick was because she felt like he would blame himself, because her HIV meds stopped working because Lisa had messed with her meds. What confused me that Lisa messed with her meds in the fall of 2010 and a year herb for HIV med stop working?🤷‍♀️🤔

She messed with them twice. Actually, she stole them the first time and Patrick was able to get a new prescription that night, then I think she messed with her meds and drugged her the time she fell into the well, but this time Robin didn't know how long Lisa messed with her meds. They never fully explained that since she was in a coma for so long

This may sound strange but I always wondered if the writers idea of Robin not telling Patrick that her HIV meds had failed, was because she thought he would feel guilty because of the fact they probably failed because Lisa messed with her meds. I was always surprised it took so long for them to stop working because Lisa messed with her meds in the fall of 2010

I also saw an interview recently it was during the Maurice Bernard state of mind I think it was with Wendy Riche . They were talking about different writers that they had during the time when they thought Robins viral load changed and you could tell the care that was given with the original storyline think her name was Claire or Camille as opposed to this one and I think the guys name is Gareth that was the writer that time in GH

Another option that would have been really good as if they had explored the journey of Robin with HIV and these antiviral drugs not working... and she had to go to Seattle, she had to go to Africa, which would’ve given Kimberly time to do directing. Patrick and her were still together, and Emma and they were still a family. then they were able to find drugs that work, as opposed to having her presumed dead and kidnap by Faison for two years

Another thing that was disrespectful about this s/l is when Robin told him when she found out and Patrick said that was months ago. Yes, she told him to get on the antiviral meds (before she found out about her status) that night due to his wrists being raw from the ropes and anything Lisa may have done, but they had sex that night, and I sure many times prior to her finding out. And just because he goes on anti-viral, did he get an HIV test? and he would have needed to get another one 6 months later (like he did after the cut in the OR) and did she excuse sex for months saying she was uncomfortable for what Lisa did (him thinking it was her terrorizing them?) because she & Patrick had a very active and passionate love life and for her to say nothing was dangerous for his health,

I truly love Robin and I have since she started on GH, but her fixation on controlling every situation and thinking she’s helping by not letting the people that love her in is mine boggling. the fact that she was going disappear and just leave Patrick and Emma because she remembers what it was like with Stone, she was 17 years old with Stone this is her husband and child.Come on Robin, come on writers. That’s not the way you write this character and the scene and story. I was so disappointed with this

I always thought that Patrick Robin and Emma should’ve went to Doctors Without Borders, to give Emma an adventure and Robin and Patrick some time to do good. Robin could’ve stayed on and Patrick and Emma could come back given Kimberly time to direct.

Robin explained that because they needed her she was given her meds. There is even this one scene the first time she was away and they showed JJ give her her meds. Then slowly over time, they disrespected the s/l and decided not to show the importance of her meds. There is this one video someone did several years ago about Gh and it's storytelling and Robin's HIV and how each producer that came in changed it more and more where it finally became an afterthought.
