Please keep the questions hockey related. (Reporters) - So Patrick did you do it?

It's pretty sad that people have to continue to put a label on Kane after the case was closed and he was not found guilty of rape. Yes, there are two sides to a story but when you look at the big picture, any educated person can understand why this whole case was a circus act. Rape does happen, there is no denying that. But feminists and people who put blinders on and don't look at the evidence at hand are borderline idiotic. And those same people think that anyone who is accused of rape is automatically guilty. Which is not even the slightest true. Lets face reality there are women who are just looking for money or evil enough to ruin someone's reputation and use rape as a piece of evidence. And there are men who rape women and there is a legitimate reason to bring the case to court. That is why the Court was made to find out the truth since people lie. So because those people are probably angry that Kane wasn't found guilty need to think a little. In a separate scenario lets say Kane is convicted of rape and he is actually innocent, is that fair to him? Is is fair to put an innocent male in prison and ruin his life and career just because society thinks that in most cases the woman is telling the truth about rape? No the Court has to do its job to find out the truth. Now to what I just said, someone could come back with, "well he has money and he could have bought his way out". Again just think about it. If a woman was actually raped and wanted to bring that person down, they would go through endless amounts of hell to bring that person back into Court and justice if that person was found not guilty. After the case was dismissed, the accuser just walked away and never heard about her again. And not to mention the actions that happened in between the case and even her attorney leaving the case.

That's because Kaner is an easy player to hate. He's talented, decorated, and a complete douche. But then again, he's a blackhawk. You can't expect him to have class playing for them
@dznutzz12288 жыл бұрын
+Will Riley I agree its easy to hate. For example Crosby. He is also talented and decorated. He may talk a little too much to the refs and people target him because of that. But the issue is that the comments made about Kane have nothing to do with hockey. Instead of bringing up irrelevant personal stuff, haters should find relevant and hockey related stuff to make their point. Drew Doughty was accused of rape a couple of years ago and no one kept calling him a rapist when he was found to be not guilty. I am a Rangers fan, so for me to stand up for someone on Chicago is saying something.

+Will Riley so does Ovechkin. But that doesn't mean people should hate Ovechkin because he is a great player
@dznutzz12288 жыл бұрын
+broadwayblueshirts every time Ovechkin scores he celebrates like he scored an overtime goal in the playoffs lol I just think its stupid to hate on Kane bringing up irrelevant stuff like rape when it never happened. If they want to hate on Kane for being a douche celebrating sure go ahead but not rape. Its ignorant to still use that as an arguement

I am disgusted looking back at this situation 5 years later, I was too young at the time. Chicago defended Patrick and now I know why. The people that accused Kane of this should be disgraced for trying to ruin one of my heros careers.

It doesn't matter if you hate an athlete or not. False rape accusations can ruin lives. Kane didn't do it but the accusation alone ruined his image in a lot of peoples eyes. False rape accusations are just as disgusting as rape.
@fredleinweber28194 ай бұрын
Disagree, it only ruins the lives who are wrongfully convicted and have to serve time. Once the accusers story unraveled it was over for her. (Even though she isn't serving time like all false accusers should) The organization stood behind Kane and I remember nobody was talking about it after a few months. He got a couple heckles from crowds on the road at the start of that season but it quickly withered away and no one thinks of this anymore.

thats what I thought at first but it looks like that wasn't the case. He went on to have the best season of his career in 15-16 and everyone for the most part put this incident behind them. He got heckled a little but from crowds at the very start of the season but it all went away. His reputation did not take the hit that many others who are falsely accused take.

Just like Kobe. Some rape allegation comes out of nowhere, next thing you know they become the greatest at the sport. Kane gets accused....next season he finishes with the Art Ross. Kobe gets accused and wins 3 championships. It's all part of the game. The players try to win back the fans by working their ass off. The industry just loving the money rolling in.

im a wings fan and I have no reason to support him (no offense Chicago fans) but this is sad. He obviously just wanted to focus on hockey and have everyone stop hounding him about the allegations. He probably hasnt been to press conference since where people just focus on hockey. Its all about the story for these people. Patrick Kane is a person. He has a life that he just wants to live. Its really sad because titles are hard to scratch. Someone calls you crazy, you deny it, they just say "oh but shes crazy who would admit to it?" people call you a rapist, you better not be caught dead clubbing. Sad. Sadder than the Columbus blue jackets season so far smh. #isupport88

I am a hawks fan but this allegations extremely made me upset with him. If he was accused without his reputation I wouldn’t be so mad. He has done some awful things in the past and got away with it. These allegations (I think) have made him mature. He has kinda been given everything and not been disciplined and this has changed him in a certain way.

+Townie5lax absolved litterally means set or declare someone free from blame, its a grammar issue, he plays hockey, he doesn't teach english. Also, ALL the evidence is point towards his innocence, the accusers own mother even tried to sabotage the investigation with that fake "evidence bag" fiasco that the DA personally proved false. You people are why calling rape is so popular, all someone has to do is to say that 4 letter word because people like you will hate them no matter if its true or not, congrats.

+Vanchize I love this story. It was almost like Kane gave them nothing to use for a story and they were so mad and desperate they came up with this. I love the last line too when they write "This was a terrible idea by himself, the team and his agent. This is doing everything they didn't want to do". Actually it was a fantastic idea that worked. The media went digging for a story that wasn't there, looking for any reason to twist his words and make him look guilty, and he gave them absolutely nothing. They were at training camp. Ask questions about training camp next time.
