Kane is a point a game at Detroit. Can you imagine how fun it would have been to see Kane and Bedard play together? We have plenty of cap space and NEVER should have let Kane go. Kane was my favorite Hawks player of all time.

All that could be asked of the Chicago fans is that they don't boo him like he deserted them. He loved playing in Chicago and would have probably still been playing for them if they had given him a good enough contract offer. He signed with us and I hope the Red Wings sign him for an extension because he has still got it as far as playing ability goes and his presence in the locker room cannot be underestimated either. One of the best pickups by Yzerman as GM by far.
