Not gonna lie I'm getting misty-eyed just watching the highlights for this game. Chicago still loves Patrick Kane, and Kane still loves Chicago, and I just feel it in the vibes, and see it in their actions. I always felt like Chicago was kind of like Michigan's second team. I mean they are on,,, lake Michigan! And it's not like we've really had a rivalry with them compared to a lot of other franchises. Even when both were in the West, we had more of a rivalry with Colorado, Toronto, St.Louis in those days. Chicago was, like Detroit, a team that didn't win for a long time, and I became a Kane fan during his runs! Hard to not love the guy, the way he plays, and him going to Detroit late in his career is something special

The fact that the big stars and everyone was watching this game coz of Kane's return and Chelios's jersey retirement made it that much more of an epic and memorable ending. Bedard had his own breakaway chance, but the story was so close to being complete and Kane finished it in epic fashion! As an ex-Hawks fan I’m just so happy that the Hawks fans (including superfan Bedard 😂) got to witness another Showtime goal in person and that it seems they had a good night anyway. The energy from the crowd was just unbelievable and you could see how much it meant to Kaner that he’s still well loved in the place that he built his legacy.

This is my first year watching hockey and my wife and I chose to go for the team we both knew - Red Wings. This was an incredible moment for the two of us to see live. Looking forward to many more years with hopefully many good moments like this.

He was robbed of the same goal just before he left for the Rangers, so nice to see him get it this time Legit! He's a great player to watch! I am a Bruins fan but I love watching Kane play.
