Not gonna lie I'm getting misty-eyed just watching the highlights for this game. Chicago still loves Patrick Kane, and Kane still loves Chicago, and I just feel it in the vibes, and see it in their actions. Super grateful to have Kaner on this Red Wings team so he can show the future Wings how it's done. Best American born hockey player ever, by a long shot.

I always felt like Chicago was kind of like Michigan's second team. I mean they are on,,, lake Michigan! And it's not like we've really had a rivalry with them compared to a lot of other franchises. Even when both were in the West, we had more of a rivalry with Colorado, Toronto, St.Louis in those days. Chicago was, like Detroit, a team that didn't win for a long time, and I became a Kane fan during his runs! Hard to not love the guy, the way he plays, and him going to Detroit late in his career is something special

He was robbed of the same goal just before he left for the Rangers, so nice to see him get it this time Legit! He's a great player to watch! I am a Bruins fan but I love watching Kane play.

that was cool in its own way, a slapshot buzzer beater.

Of course the crowd erupted in cheers 1) They love Patrick Kane in Chicago 2) He just helped the Blackhawks stay in the hunt for another first overall pick this year

Also, Bedard should have dropped back as soon as Jones drove to the net. There's no reason Kane should have had that breakaway.

The greatest Blackhawk of all time is also my favorite Hawk of all time. It kills me to see him in a Wings jersey but I had to deal with it for Cheli, too. I have a lot of respect for the Wings...I miss the rivalry. I was at the game and I havent seen the UC rock like that since 2015. Patrick got 3 standing ovations on his first shirt....it was clear who the star of the show way....#88.

As a fan of either team, I can't imagine how great it would have been to have a ticket to this game. Chelios getting his number retired. Then, during a break, a tribute to Patrick Kane. Then, an original six matchup, going to overtime, and then to cap it off by two former Blackhawks setting up a goal against a former Red Wing goalie. And then to have Kane salute the fans, that just shows the class that this fanbase has. It doesn't show " What have you done for me lately", it shows," thank you for the memories"... This is what makes The NHL great..... If you're not a fan of this moment, then you're just not a fan of hockey.
