Idk why people have to take a “side” and can’t see anything with nuance. He whines about refs and his family are annoying/bad people but that doesn’t make Patrick a bad person. He faces racism as black but also colorism for being light-skinned. Disliking the Chiefs doesn’t mean you need to dislike Taylor Swift and vice versa. He’s seems decently humble for the amount of success he has. You’re not that good at that position in that sport without putting in a TON of extra effort and time. He is a nice enough dude on all his interviews, but he has 2 things going against him. 1) His obnoxious wife and brother, very specifically, his brother. They both have seemed to cool their jets, his brother likely at advice of council. 2) Americans like underdog stories. NFL fans are often very passionate of THEIR teams. Patrick Mahomes has become the giant to be conquered by their “Little engine that could” team.

I'm a Patriots fan and I like Mahomes. What I don't like is the NFL and their media partners shoving the Chiefs down our throats every second of every day, especially after they all hated on our dynasty so much. It's like they're going overboard to heap praise on the Chiefs because they want to erase all memory of my Patriots. The only Chiefs player who deserves hate is Kelce. That guy is a classless piece of shit, and the fact Taylor Swift is dating him is a massive indictment on her judgment. But Mahomes seems like a really down to Earth and humble guy, just like Tom was. Tom was a psycho on the field, but watch interviews with him and he was as humble and soft spoken as they come.

The thing is with the Chiefs, people seem to really dislike the team currently for any off the field antics. Whether that be Travis/Taylor, the Pfizer endorsements, the Chiefsaholic incident, Patricks father getting another DUI, his brother being charged with sexual assault, his wife just kinda being annoying. With the Patriots the issue was that they looked like an organization that was being run like a mafia. No fun, cheating, and even former players going out and committing murder.

I hated the Patriots and Tom Brady for years... now that the shoe is on the other foot, it makes me rethink that a little. Knowing that I'm experiencing a dynasty, I really have two thoughts. As a Pats fan, I totally understand how other people felt when Brady was winning 7 Super Bowls. Mahomes is great, dynamic, and I don't hate him.
