Nick Wright might've been the only guy in the media who believed in the Chiefs all year. I don't think the Chiefs get enough credit for what they've managed to accomplish. Getting blown out in a Super Bowl, then melting down in the AFC title game the next year would be something most franchises take decades to recover from, if they ever really do at all. Instead, the Chiefs go back to back and solidify their place as an all-time dynasty.

@@davidherdman9798 Getting blown out by a Brady led team in the Super Bowl is unusual as it's only happened once. Well, the 2018 Super Bowl was won by double digits, but that one hardly counts. The fact the Chiefs have won back-to-back titles is already a huge achievement since it's been 20 years since that last happened, but you have to go back to the 70s Dolphins to find another team that won two in a row within five years of losing a Super Bowl.

As a Ravens fan, I'm one of the few members of Flock Nation who was at that AFC Championship Game that didn't feel any devastation. Why? Because if I'd rather lose to anyone, it would be the Chiefs and Mahomes. They are becoming the modern-day version of the 1990s Chicago Bulls. Why? Look at how many great QBs there are in the AFC. Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Rodgers, Herbert, Stroud, Lawrence, etc., and just like all of those great players during the 90s in the NBA most of them if not all of them won't win a ring because of Patrick Mahomes. If the Ravens and Bills were in the NFC they'd have at least made one Super Bowl. Those two, along with the Eagles, Bengals, and 49ers all would have rings if they didn't run into the Chiefs. And just like those Bulls teams they are not only revolutionizing the game on the field but off the field. And you can't get mad for losing to them. As someone who also covered the Golden State Warriors during their dynasty, I understand the feeling that Chiefs fans have right now. The feeling that it doesn't matter how ugly things get, as long as we have our cornerstones out there, we can win every single game.

Knowledge doesn't get the ratings, retweets, etc. people want trash talk , they want every play, every game, every outcome to be sine definitive statement about teams, players , coaches, gms, etc. basically over react to everything. A lot of it is building narratives either based off current results or setting up the future story. Case in point the Bills 6-6 , allen sucked, McDermott was about to be fired. But anyone looking at the schedule and how they had played knew they had a great chance of winning the east. But the negativity at 6-6 set up the narrative about the bills once again circling the wagons, every week is the playoffs blah blah blah.

Unlike Brady Mahomes was the sole reason Chiefs has been so successful since he became a starter. Unprecedented start of an NFL player unarguable!

They were in the playoffs every year before Mahomes became the starter, plus their defense was a huge reason they won it thjs year. He’s the best, but let’s not act like he’s the only reason they are successful. Once a team sport, always a team sport.

@gregkuruvilla42806 ай бұрын
@@JBullock54 Mahomes accomplishments so early in his career even without his Super Bowls appearances and wins is unprecedented. Without Mahomes though none of the specialness of the rest of the team would matter. Not so with Brady early in his career. His greatness was later in his career. His greatness is his resilience and separates him with all QBs in NFL history. That cannot be compared right now with Mahomes career. Given how much Mahomes has accomplished so early in his career I doubt he will play anywhere close to Brady. Also I will be shocked if Mahomes could win more than 5 SB's if that. There's no guarantee he will win even one more before he hangs it up. But being a lifelong Chiefs fan he's shocked me throughout his career. Hopefully that continues but every additional win is gravy for this Chiefs fan since I waited 50 years to witness our 2nd SB win! Who has it better than Chiefs fans? NOBODY!

⚠️ Warning ⚠️ Doubting the Chiefs has been shown by the state of Missouri to carry the following side effects: 1. Winning seasons by the the Chiefs. 2. Lamar Hunt Trophies returned home. 3. Lombardi Trophies not seen by other NFL teams for years at a time. 4. MVP seasons for Chiefs QB's. 5. Super Bowl Rings given to Chiefs players during "rebuild" years. See your doctor if you experience any of the following: poor performance by other NFL teams, lost games by other AFC West teams, belief in other QB's being better and / or death of your teams payoff berth. Do not consume alcoholic beverages while doubting the Chiefs. Do not doubt the Chiefs while pregnant or breastfeeding, as this could lead to your child becoming a bitter Raider's or Bengal's fan.
