Not much happened in Roy's career after this. Just two more Stanley Cups and one more Conn Smythe trophy. LOL

I’m no expert, when it comes to hockey, but I remember damn well on that same night, when Patrick Roy said to Ronald Corey: « Tonight! is my last game, with the Montréal Canadians ». Amazingly, on that very same year, Roy left for the Colorado Avalanche and they won the Stanley Cup à few months later, In 1995. Thank you, Johnny, Montréal, Canada.

The rest is history.

Trembley and Keenan were hockey’s biggest bullies. That was totally uncalled for and very disrespectful. Good for Roy.

we dont know what happened between those guys before. looks like there was other issues before that game because thats what roy said himself. roy also had a big head. he had a lack of respect for the crowd and his team too. he was paid to play and if the coach want him there then he must play and try do the job the best he can. respect for the fans and for his team. roy was not professional. we could blame both roy and tremblay but we wont really ever know what happened. what u see on the ice is just one thing. i think roy was thinking he is soooo big that he did not accept the crowd making fun of him and the coach leaving him there too. sorry but tremblay was not like keenan at all. you could say maybe keenan and tortorella but not tremblay.

Roy carried good teams. Hasek carried both good teams and shitty teams. Hasek is better just based on being able to carry the Sabres on his back.
@yannyburger3 жыл бұрын
@@chefz2749 actually Hasek never won a thing with an underdog. Hasek only won 2 Cups with those stacked teams in Detroit. While St Patrick of Roy literally carried those 2 huge underdog Montreal teams to Stanley Cup victories with Conn Smythe performances. He is the all time leader in playoff wins yet with leas seasons than Brodeur. He is also the only 3 time Conn Smythe Trophy winner in NHL history. So when it comes to the greatest of all time, well you simply cannot argue with 3 Conn Smythes to ZERO combined for both Hasek and Brodeur.
@maniaque372 жыл бұрын
roy said that he could have done otherwise and does recognize his mistake. it was a childish move from roy. he could just have swallowed the pill like he said himself. even if i am a fan of the habs , i was mad at roy reaction and was happy he was traded after what he did. putting his arms up and making fun of himself with the crowd was not smart at all. roy had just a big ego and he still has even today i think. we saw him get mad also as a coach after his career as a player. the good part is that him and tremblay now made commercials together and are no more enemies number one lol

@martinpatrick17462 жыл бұрын
Patrick should have kept his mouth shut about being scored on eleven times by Detroit..and not take it out on the president of the club either just quietly tell them I want a trade to a better team ok not that way I would say.
@darthrevan62 жыл бұрын
Patrick Roy already was one of the best goalies of all-time, he won the Canadiens 2 cups and he's still getting treated like a rookie by some egotistical coach? It was a pathetic lack of leadership by the organization. Roy deserved better treatment.
