This is exactly what creative people need to see (how other creative people work !!)

I have a planner, too! I find I do better, remember more, and plan better when I have a physical planner. I’ll definitely check that planner out (I’m currently using the notes section of mine to write down weekly/daily goals and my “glows and grows [wins/improvements]). It’s really important to be intentional about the week. Not organized to the point of being robotic and stressful, but I personally want to wake up knowing that I’m going to take this day off, work on new music, etc. Like you said, it’s really important to take breaks! GREAT tips, man! Really enjoy your vids and these videos especially are really useful (I put my social apps on my phone’s second page after your recommendation). 🙌

Jared Humphers “Glows and Grows” that’s awesome! I like that. That’s a really good point man- over organizing can sometimes do more harm than good. But keeping track of things, being intentional by writing things down and keeping yourself accountable are all definitely valuable components of a truly productive life. I can’t stress a planner/notebook enough. Having a dedicated notebook, your brain automatically says “I’m here for (this) purpose” when you open it. Conversely, when you open your phone your brain can sometimes say, “wait, what did I come here for?” I don’t know... maybe this is all anecdotal, but I just like systems that’s work... and this has REALLY worked for me! Appreciate you brother!

I feel like we're almost the same person. I'm living in New York about 3 hours away from the city. Just got back from visiting and discovered your channel. You're interview video was very motivating and got me to finally write my first full song, which is a huge deal for me. I'm extremely grateful for the concise advice and clarity of thought.

I don’t have a planner BUT I have my own format of writing down what I have to do each day of every week and it definitely helps to keep your plans written somewhere to keep organized 👌🏼

These are some good idea. I never been good at writing things down but I think that's where I'll start lol

Dude me neither! But there’s something about writing things that frees up that precious mental “real estate.” It feels like the more that I’m trying to hang on to mentally (schedule, to dos, goals, dreams, ideas) the less bandwidth I have for the things that require my creative energy. In a weird way, the more organized I am, the more creative I can be!

@@PatrickBreenMusic said beautifully. Thinking back when it comes to ideas I get so backed up sometimes it feels overloaded.... i guess sometimes you just need to hear it out loud. I appreciate you man
