What's your go-to mental hack for staying sharp on the court?

Hello Patrick, how can I talk to you about my mental strength?

I try and let the point go, whether it was a winner or a mistake and went out. I always try to focus on the here and now

What should I say. Gems come out of your mouth. I just go there and try to remain analytical through the whole match. But you said it all.

I like to reframe challenging moments as an opportunity to practice a scenario. For example, it's break point and I miss the first serve. "This is a great opportunity to practice hitting a quality second serve in a pressure situation" is what I tell myself. In my experience, when I start worrying about double faulting, I double fault. When I think about practicing good second serves in key moments, I tend to hit good second serves.

Breathe.. focus on that for a moment and helps let go of thoughts spinning in head. Then calmly go back to good technique and if struggling one thing that may just help the flow of match…come to the net, slice, deep high ball etc.

Thank you Patrick, just what my daughter needed last weekend, and will always need. This really has helped her and she says she will listen to this everyday. The mind is the first and final battle field. Patrick, you are amazing.

I dont think Patrick realize that he's giving the best advices, for LIFE not just about Tennis, for young /middle age people who struggle in life. " Focus on match, not yourself " This is GOLD my friends. GOLD.

I cannot tell you how incredibly helpful and how much change this advice has brought to my game . I played juniors until 15 where I had zero handle on my mental state . 25 years later , I’ve taken tennis up again and this advice has helped me win matches and keep my head straight even when I may think I may lose . Thanks Patrick , this advice is 10 x times more valuable than “ get this racket “ . Cheers 👌🏻

Hi Patrick. I used to be a competitive tennis player when I was younger. Now I make my living as a futures trader where your concept of a positive inner voice has been a great help to me. Trading markets can be similar to an important tennis match, ie I have two enemies: The market and myself. Thank you for the great coaching.

Lost clarity...I had never heard it explained like this. My last match I got tired in the second set and my brain went blank and it's like I completely forgot what the strategy was or what I was trying to do. It definitely felt like losing clarity because my fitness level went down. He describes the issues and solutions so. This is an excellent video.

I think since you don't lose yourself, you may lose some racquets and praises from soft media. The problem is some players break the racquet and then the mind breaks together.

How come your players beat their opponents if you give them banned substances which leads to their ban from tennis. Please ban your self from coaching ever again.
@sidmanazebo6 ай бұрын
Did Serena take any banned substances when Patrick helped her win multiple slams? How about Holger when he won his first masters ?

Definitely is a journey. I just heard you tell Rune to stand back further on Fritz’s second as Fritz was killing him in the first set at Indian Wells. Fortunately, he totally disregarded this foolish advice. He stepped in further and turned the match around against the much slower Fritz. Does your pay scheme involve a reduction for bogus advice?

Dear @patrickmouratoglou_official I love your content, your style and I think it's great how you're excelling at KZbin. I have one bit of feedback.. the music in your latest videos is a distraction and makes the videos seem less authentic. Please consider talking to whoever edits your videos and toning it down or taking a different approach. Kind regards from Denmark
