Always a great segment of your show. And I had that original figure when I lived in the Bronx. While his toymate Whirl was buggish looking, Roadbuster was on the juice! So definitely I am Bustin' for that Roadbuster!

Man thats one cool bot. I had Whirl as a kid but never Roadbuster. May have been caused to those extra pieces. Folks knew how sometimes woukd lose them on other toys. I was a bit miffed they was not in the show as a kid but he's been fun to read in More than meets the eye. I think now a days Roadbuster has been in some books via IDW at least think The Wreckers comics. I'm busting for that road buster.

Awesome review. Roadbuster has been one of my favorite figures since I got him on clearance way back in 1987. Still have him, he is missing one missile and a friend of mines dropped him and put a crack in his head. I also have the Generation figure, so I won't be entering the contest, good luck to everyone that does, because that is one awesome figure to own.

Roadbuster did appear in the comics, but only in the UK run. Also, I prefer the original colours of this figure when it comes to the backpack, but the green looks better for the figure itself than the grey it had. By the way, there is a model kit for Dorvack, it's around $60US. You might like that old model line too.

"I am bustin' for this Roadbuster..." This was an awesome review of an excellent gift! Makes me sad that I had to sell my G1 Roadbuster a few years ago, due to someone else's jack@$$ery and completely irrational behavior... Half my G1 collection and half of a rather large comic collection, about 65+ long boxes before having to sell so many... Maybe one day I'll end up with another one, but if not, at least I had this guy in my collection for awhile. There's not ever been much of an appearance or usage of this character, or his buddy Whirl, (whom I never had a G1 figure, but DID have a Scout sized KO toy, my dad bought me at the beach one year, along with Warpath & Beachcomber), but for me, Roadbuster has always kind of been the Autobots version of Boba Fett because of that... Just a cool looking, mysterious character. I got my Roadbuster in a trade at school, and he was one of my favorite characters, still is, right up there with Skywarp, Shockwave, Predaking, Jetfire, Mirage, PMOP, Omega Supreme, Whirl, & the Dinobots, among others. (I'm actually still looking for an old 3rd Party kit that gives the repainted as Roadbuster version of the deluxe Cybertron series Hotspot, a proper G1 style Roadbuster head, and maybe weapon(s), but no luck so far, especially since those kits are LONG past out of circulation...) Anyway, great review of this guy, and I am extremely happy for you to have this figure in YOUR collection at last! HOOO-AH!!

Very kind of Josh to send you that rare piece as a gift. 👍I also had Roadbuster as a kid. Over here in Germany TF Figures were hard to come by and I was lucky to get him. BTW: I also had an Optimus Prime knock off as a kid (Battle Convoy). He came with that same M16 style weapon as Roadbuster but in a dark blue color. Still have that gun.

This is one of my grails. I had him back in the day and got him for a deal. My parents took me to a flea market and i helped a dealer match up accessories to the bots he had. And he had them all. He was impressed that i knew who had what and that i put the work in. I was very upset when the clips started to break and i lost accessories. I loved that toy to death.

When you said Josh sent Roadbuster because he wanted to thank you for your channel and your service - well, that kind of made my day, just beautiful. I didn't think he was so flat and bulky, you're right - it screams Aliens, I could easily see Apone, Hicks and Vasquez rolling into battle with Roadbuster. Wow he comes with almost as many accessorises as Jetfire LOL, and like Jetfire he's a completely different Bot when you armour him up. I never had and I still don't have Roadbuster so this review was a pleasure to behold. Oh, and I enjoyed your portrayal of Roadbuster in Crimson Raptors Stop Motion :D I just saw it and Crimson was telling me that he asked you based on this review, a job well done sir.

Seeing he's from Takatoku, Roadbuster looks lika a land-based Valkyrie/Veritech from Macross/Robotech. Though I don't remember seeing him in the anime. Or it's in another anime altogether and the similarities end where it's designed by the same person. Saw him in a convention by the way but I can't remember his name right now. Great video as always.
