*I absolutely have to thank you.* This review was what tipped me over into buying this set, and I am in LOVE with it! The plastic is so damn good! Sturdy feel, tight pegs, good joints. Mmmm.There's so many places to stick Micromasters. It looks fantastic next to Skyhopper in both modes. The shuttle is a joy to swoosh around. Firshot and Vanquish fit perfectly in the cockpits, just as I'd hoped. Plus, I discovered that Skystalker himself can fit in the area at the back of the shuttle for storage, AND that the main cockpit actually *slides back* after it hinges down for base mode, locking it in place. THIS IS A GREAT SET!!! :D :D :D

Quite possibly one of my favorite Micromaster Bases. It comes with a really solid Micromaster and I love the design of the ship.

This was one of the last things I ever got for Christmas as a kid. Probably one of my favourite playsets. Also for anyone reading this, the tower can go down further but the weird black I don't know what you would called them, hinges? Can break easily but locks it into place.

Cool review! Makes me hope they eventually get around to these bases and characters...except I'd prefer them less "Micro"...legends class at the smallest for the figures themselves, my preference anyway, though I'd also be happy with Deluxe class...although, if they're tiny, they'll work better with my city bots...so, I guess I really don't care what size they end up, IF they ever even happen at all.* *(Obviously, the bases should connect to the city bots...) Liked the Micro-Combaticon crew there, and thanks for the shout out! Looking forward to the next one!

A personal favorite as I owned ths one. I still have (most of) the base/shuttle. The guns are long gone however as are the wings and ramps. I LOVED this toy so it saw a lot of use!

Can you tell me what exact ToyHax set you used for the headlights and extra stripes on Skystalker? I can find the base sticker sheet for the set, but I've looked all around and I have no idea how you upgraded that little car.

I got lucky when I found this base. It's all complete but I paid a few bucks for sure ha ha. I like it but it should be connected to Skyhopper to get more of a base effect.

Your right..more of a "platform" mode than a base. It screams for more decals desperately. Do u own the Ultimate Guide to Transformers by Mark Bellomo? I'm sure you do. Very comprehensive on all aspects of G1 toys and their accessories. Awesome video brother. 👍

I see a lot of these sets for sale with one of the wings broken, is that a design issue or did a lot of people just hamhand the transformation the exact same way?

I am a bit late, but I found this on tfwiki (so take it with a grain of salt): The main shuttle can often be found missing its right wing, as one of the wing's connectors is mismolded slightly and tends to break. This may have been corrected by the end of the run. Found it on the entry for the shuttle (in japan this shuttle was the Thunder Arrow and the base of operations for Deathsaurus and his men)

funny how you keep calling the shuttle "he" when it's a, to my knowledge, lifeless vehicle. However in my AU, i've decided to make it female, gave her the name of Thunder Arrow as the ship was called in Victory, and made her Skystalker's giant girlfriend
