“Let them eat cake!” Oh yes, I’d eat it everyday if my waistline allowed!!! Yellow cake with chocolate frosting is my favorite. I grew up loving cake because we couldn’t afford to make or purchase anything fancy. All of the cakes that I had growing up and the ones that I still make for my family are the 13 x 9 single layer boxed sheet cakes. No soggy middles! But I have been known to put an extra layer of frosting on top lol. Thanks again for a fun and informative video!!!

Hi fellow Pat! My favorite cake is angel food with whipped cream and crushed pineapple frosting. I am following along with your Secret lives of Color quilt, all three sizes per block. And to remember what color each block is I’m using a fine tip black fabric marking pen to label each block. So much fun to follow and see your blocks. I had purchased to book during the summer so was so happy to see you use it. She also has a book called The Golden Thread, how fabric changed history. Great stories.

40 years ago we were served an orange bundt cake with chocolate shaving and a chocolate glaze. It was the best cake I have ever eaten, I was newly married and didn't ask for the recipe.
