Have been there in Pattaya about 15 times since 2010. I love the place & that makes me keep on visiting Pattaya. I normally spends about a week but last two visits I increased it to two weeks. That explains how interesting the place is.

First went to Pattaya in 2001 and stayed in Siam Bayshore and couldn’t get enough of walking street, haven’t been to walking street the last 3 times I’ve been there I socialise up LK metro Soi Buakhao. Great videos Trevor keep it going

Siam@siam does not charge joiner fee if one has booked a room for two. It's a nice hotel to enjoy with your "friend"... Super seafood buffet, awesome breakfast. Two lovely rooftop pools to enjoy the sunset and drinks 😍

Pat Pong Go-Go Bar Night Market 1994. Absolutely the best girls ever 3,000THB each. I was 34 at the time very successful, used to take 2 at a time. Nights to be remembered THB vs GBP 89THB yes just 67GBP for 2 pure models. Look what inflation has done to the world. People still earning the same money and 3,000 THB is around £134.00. 1,000,000THB was 11,230GBP. They were the days. Now happily married to a Thai with daughter very happy with life living in Rayong where you wouldn't know there was a health crisis. Loving Thailand

Mexidan here: I always get a Thai SIM card at Bangkok airport. The SIM card booths are next to the auto rental places, right before you exit the doors. There are some good reasons for having a local sim with a data plan. First, if u are walking about trying to find a place that’s off the beaten path (like Telephone Bar), then u can use Google Maps to help with directions (don’t expect that every motorbike guy knows where everything is, even if instructions seem simple!). Next, is messaging: if u are en route to a bar and your friends suddenly change bars before u get there, it’s nice to know as you are walking in real time rather than waiting to hit a WiFi spot (especially if part of your trip is in Bangkok since the metro has no WiFi on its trains). Finally, safety. If u get yourself in a pickle, sometimes help is just a phone call away and in those times u don’t have time to look for a WiFi spot.

good advice on sim cards. wifi is everywhere most sim cards here are good for a shorter time than your staying and you have to pay up thru your phone can be difficult at times drop into any coffee joint or a eatery use wifi your hotel also before you know it your going home.

I liked that part from 0:12 -0:22! 👍 ALL great information The easiest way to find a hotel or guest house That does not have Joiner fees is to ask online. #1 Book your flight. #2 Book your Hotel ON the main sites Agoda or Booking You can book accommodations and there is NO cancelation fee for a long time. There is always an option to email and contact the hotel that is when you ask but be polite about it or they will cancel You! Just ask if they are guest-friendly. After explaining all that I would NEVER bring a girl to where I was staying just look for an S time room. trust me she will know of at least five of them. Do not go by the lists posted online those change all the time.

Joiner fee - simply email the hotel before booking and ask if they charge a joiner fee. Then, when they say "no" you have it in writing (print off the email before traveling).....any problems later, show them their email. Also, always book a room for 2 people - then they cannot charge a joiner fee as you already paid for 2. Hilton Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya tried this on me but had to back down when I showed I had booked for 2.

The Sea View in Second Road Pattaya charges a whopping 2000 baht for a television guest and the Dynasty Grand doesn't charge for a guest but if you decide to take 2 guests home to watch TV they want an extra 200 baht (bugger all really :-) ) it is actually a handy place to stay being in Soi 6 which is off Soi 4 Nana, good rooms and cheap. Good luck with the Buzzin venture and the intro looked good mate, keep it up :-).

I buy the cheapest Thai phone I can and then reload. In fact my phone was so cheap when I left it behind in a restaurant (by mistake) and realized-- the restaurant still had it. My expat friend who worked in Thailand at the time said, "Don't bother going back it will be stolen." He changed to, "It's such a crap phone no one wanted it." 🤣

re: Joiner fee's - I always prebook my rooms for 2 people (even though I travel alone - this was recommended approach). I also message the hotels to ask about "guests/joiners" - so long as I dont have more than the 2 people per room I am always told "no additional fee". However, I do know people who got stung, 2 squaddies sharing a room both took girls back on several nights and got hammered when they came to check out at the end of the week.

Wifi doesn’t cut it. You’ll definitely need a data package from a local SIM for apps like grab, google maps and staying connected on the run. DTAC has a 3 month unlimited data package for 600 bht.

1st time I went to the Dominican Republic I seen a mom, dad(driver), with a baby(approximately 6 months old) wedged in between them weaving in between the traffic at 60mph. I almost had a heart attack seeing it. This is with roads that are 3rd world obviously, ironically we have the same 3rd world roads here in Pa in the states. Great video.

Make sure you have a International Driving Licence. You get them from the Post Office in the UK at a cost of £5. They just copy your licence onto the International licence. Without it on you while driving you will be fined if caught. Your UK licence will not override anything just leave it in your safe

My goto bar in Pattaya these days is Billabong. My. My. I have definitely met one of THOSE farangs. I met him in language school. Nicest guy you’ve ever met. We went to lunch several times. Then, after a couple of months, it became clear that his life was a shambles. A story too long to tell here. When he started hitting me up for money I had just gotten married. I could honestly say that I was financially obligated to my wife and her family. He promised to pay me back two times over. His idea was a great investment opportunity. . . . Yeah . . . Right. I politely declined. That day he blocked me from phone and social media. Never saw him again. I dodged a bullet. Lesson learned early on.

I went to a gentleman's club in the Soi Baukhao area with 3 mates which was very seedy. Great fun in the beginning, but whilst enjoying 2 girls myself I realised I could also see my mates in compromising positions 😀. Not my cup of tea tbh but funny. It was like we walked in to an ants nest and the girls were feeding off us. Ago go bars are expensive but some of the girls are amazing. You can find some cracking bars with lovely girls plenty to choose from. Pattaya is fantastic 👏 👌.

Taboo on walking street was surprisingly my best gogo experience. It would have been January/February 2017. Every girl was just stunning. I was a Thailand newbie back then and on subsequent trips I did not visit many gogo bars and mostly just peaked in for ~20-30 minutes. I remember Crazy House in BKK having some very gorgeous girls, but the environment was pure chaos and the drink charge at the door was annoying. There's no way I would bother going to a gogo bar now that I know the ropes a lot better.

as soon as you turn your phone on when you land (I'm with Vodafone) you get charged £12 a day, even if your on it for 2 minutes or 24 hours ( used to be a lot more) hence always get a Thai sim

For me, getting a local SIM is all about data. If you are unfamiliar with a city, then Google maps is a godsend, particularly if you are looking for a particular venue. Similarly, if you get a bit lost and don't want to go and buy a beer somewhere so you can use the bar's Wi-Fi, then you need the data for the Bolt app to get rescued. With my UK provider, I would have to pay £6.85 PER DAY for data roaming and the unused data does not carry over to the following day.

I always have True when i'm in Thailand. With only free surfing. Perfect when traveling around and using Gps. Provides good coverage even in the countryside. And calling is done on Messenger or Line. 👍

I use a thai sim card with my English phone because for whatever reason the WiFi wasn't always reliable and just wouldn't connect in my hotel room it was the same for my friends so we would just buy a sim card to use out there it saved us a lot of hassle

I like the new intro. However, when switching between the frames make it slightly longer or just keep it on the Hooters girl...hahaha Best place for me was Caligula's Ago-go, use to be right across from the Carousel Bar on Soi Diamond. How can you go wrong with the name Caligula...lol. I use DTAC on my Android phone and never have an issue. They have to activate it but if you have an Apple phone they just switch out the SIM and you are good to go. Just remember your phone has to be UNLOCKED and GSM capable. I believe most phones now are both GSM and CDMA capable, to some degree. Hard Rock Hotel charges a fee after 5 p.m. Unless you register the guest at check-in time.

I’ve never been charged a joiner fee in all my time there, the only time I’ve know of anyone being charged is when they take girl after girl back to the room, I also believe the Hilton doesn’t allow any girls going to the room that didn’t checkin at day 1 of the booking

For SIM card I usually go to the mall and AIS is good dtac is good and true is good just pick one. And you really only need a SIM card for internet access away from Wi-Fi

Have an AIS sim card - always top off so the phone number will be good for next year's trip. Unfortunately, I couldn't travel my usually date this year, so when I attempted to top off online, was informed that the number didn't exist. Couldn't find a way to contact AIS, so will have to wait to find out if I can still have number. Rompho Beer complex was my go to for beer bars, but not any more. Have found some of the prettiest ladies at beer bars, unfortunately there is usually only one or two per bar. Will likely spend more time on Soi 6 then I have in the past (connections with the Better Group), but also spend time on Soi 7, Jomtien and at Made in Thailand. AGOGOS: For eye candy - Pin Up, with around 150 ladies a night (pre-Covid). Dollhouse is where I would take a newbie, has just about everything you might find in any other agogo. Sapphires for party atmosphere. Others I tend to visit: Shark, Fahrenheit, & Atlantis (Sweethearts). Also had some good fun in Mistys, Lighthouse, Champagne and Lady Love. G-clubs - don't go to many as I'm not into quickies, but have been to Kinnaree which has some good eats (interpret that anyway you wish) and KIT Kat Club (walk in then out, no one there).
