There's a hustler's mentality in-play. Do you want to hustle or be hustled? Go out and be respectful but don't be fooled by shallow compliments. Don't let your ego carry you away. Take your ego and flip it: tell yourself you are the one in control. It's your time, your vacation, your money. And you are going to be just one of many to the girl so be choosy. Get your goodtime and leave it at that. We Western men have been shamed for not being gentlemen enough and we should bow to every women we meet. Hogwash. We are all humans with needs. Remind yourself of your short-term needs and unapologetically go out and get it.

I don't mind sitting with a lady buying a drink or two for her but as soon as she starts asking me to buy drinks for her "sister" who happens to work at the bar and everyone else I check bin and get out of there. Also no point buying drinks for a girl who just sits at the opposite side of the table and looks at her phone or out the door ect. The rule of thumb is one drink every 15-20 minutes but as everything else goes here up to you.

When I used to go to those places when i first came to Thailand, I would buy as many drinks as i could afford because I felt bad for the people working there. I wanted to give them the 30 or 40 baht that they received from the bar for a lady drink.

Its very hard for a newbie to absorb all the advice. when i worked up in Laem Chabang i brought a few of the new guys who arrived to work down to Patts and even with me beside them they still lost it when swamped by a girl. The girls can sense a green guy maybe by his body language. My main bit of advice would be to never tell them its your first visit and always tell them your staying for 3 months and give them a vague answer when they ask where your living. As for finding a girlfriend, Patts is not the place. I date a Burmese hairdresser who is the sweetest thing in the world and i trust her. I would say if your weighing her up then give her money to buy food and groceries and see if she hands you back the change. A good Thai, Burmese or Filipina girl will hand it back without question but a girl whos ever been in the bar game will pocket it without question.

WOW! I have never been to Thailand but want to come badly. I have travelled extensively all over Latin America and many many times to Costa Rica. “The Game” is exactly the same everywhere. Time is money, and money is time. I find what surprises me most, is that men from developed countries cannot really wrap their heads around the desperation that these women have come up through. Be it, Asian, or Latin, etc. I have seen so many men travel to these places and be so disrespectful or seem to have a chip on their shoulder with the ladies. This is NOT necessary. And often times will create unnecessary drama for them. Lastly, I have seen so so many timid, shy or “Socially Awkward” men arrive in the shark tank to only be eaten alive! You give a great service with this video! It cannot be Sid and rinse and repeated enough! Be respectful, have a good time, and don’t get emotionally attached! Great Job!

Great video! You mentioned about finding long term relationships with these go-go girls…I think the main draw for some men is the affectionately direct way these women work their angle. That can be very deceptive to some guys because it’s much more rare in some of the places you listed ( Vegas, Amsterdam, etc.) A lot of guys, me included at a point, get their heart strings pulled and find it difficult to be “unsympathetic “ to these girls alleged situation. Great to have a video like this to let people know that it’s all business…even if it doesn’t feel like it to them at the time.

Some of the gogos do pad bills ... and the more you drink, the easier it is to add extra drinks. Easiest way to counter it is to pay for each order when it comes. When a girl asks me to buy a drink for her sister, I always so "OK, so you don't want any more drinks?". That usual stops them from asking again.

My advice would be to newbie’s. The first night go out and visit a couple of GoGo bars to get an impression. The following nights go to the beer 🍺 bars , gentlemen clubs. They’ll find it to be more cheaper. GoGo bars are a total ripoff IMO. And one thing they should do 100% , is a soapy massage. One warning. Never ever get emotional involved with a Thai bar lady, not even a freelancer at the discotheques or nightclub’s and Bamboo bar or the Pattaya Beergarden. 99 % chance you’re gonna loose a lot of money and dignity, not to mention mentally. I’ve seen it happen way to many times over the last 18 years I visited Pattaya

I had a great experience in Pattaya less than a year ago. Sure, the covid restrictions were there so finding nightlife was harder but possible to find and I also stumbled on a girl that was my holiday girlfriend for a week or so. Didn’t have to pay for her and after I went back home she has not bugged me other than ask a few times if I’m coming back some day. Just the way I like it.

As a veteran visitor of Pattaya its refreshing to see you walk my known district from the start towards crossing point near my most booked Sutus Court Hotel zone 1. And i also often walk that route from soi buakhaw nongprue to walk toward beach. And this restaurant often I go eat were u start this video on the left. Al do I know much about and surly not first timer. You still tell some angle points i never thought off. For instance those gogo girls eyes on you wen you enter. Great video, and as per a few comments is just as applicable to not only first timers in Pattaya but also up to several visits. In Australia and other countries we’re brought up in society to believe what you’re told and have an element of trust. So when you’re told in a go go bar that a girl is my sister or best friend and no one has brought her a drink all night you’re most likely to believe her. My bar fine one night was $150.00 AUD after an encounter in a go go bar. But compared to many stories I’ve seen and read about this is nothing compared to men who have lost their house, business and all their money to a bar girl / go go bar girl. One can attend annual first aid courses and other emergency courses. But you won’t know how you’ll deal with an emergency situation until it actually happens. The same goes with the bar girl / go go girl situation too. The best mind set is not to believe anything you’re told by a bar girl / go go girl. 3 years ago on my last Pattaya trip a girl told me that this time last year that she arrived in Pattaya just with the shirt on her back to get away from her abusive husband. She also told me that she was a cleaner in a bar complex, was sleeping on the floor and drinking tap water. I got back to Australia and discovered on Facebook that she was actually in a relationship with a man from Europe at the same time, travelling there and had a fruit stall business.

Nice to see soi Lengkee. I stayed at Vogue Hotel and left there on Tuesday and am now home in Australia. Had a number of foot massages at the shop at 13.26 minutes. I found the cashier very nice and if she had been the one to give me a massage I would have got an oil one. Malee restaurant does really nice chicken or pork with cashews.

What you say about not trusting the girls on the game in Patters is spot on. The levels of deceit these girls indulge in are staggering. I got to the point of believing the opposite of anything I was told by a bargirl here and in BKK and down on Phuket. The point you make about them supporting their Thai boyfriends or husbands is also accurate. All the better if the farang boyfriend is unknowingly helping out with that very support. Hi Daz, great channel for the newcomers and the frequent travels to Thailand. It's great seeing the main areas of Pattaya and how it's changed. Any chance to do some bar hunting in Naklua and can you find out if the bars are open in Ban Chang ? What's new over the 'Darkside ? Any new bars ? What has happen to all the bars in Made in Thailand ? Have any of them moved to new areas and re-opened ? What's happen to Drinking Street & Action Street? Has it re-opened ? I'm getting mixed news about these areas. What I heard, but I can't confirm it, is the new XCite area a new bar complex ? Has the bar complex final closed on 2nd road, Jomtein ?.... I'm sorry to ask so many questions, but I'm getting mixed messages and I need to get them answered by someone who's there first hand with a camera. Hope this isn't an inconvenience for you.

Hi, I was in Pattaya for 4 weeks in May and try my best to give you some answers: Drinking Street: closed, looks like being demolished soon -- Action Street: some bars open, most closed, very few customers -- Made in Thailand: 80% of bars torn down, only the ones facing Soi Bukhao survived, now like an extension of Tree Town, quiet busy like the whole area -- Naklua: very quiet, some bars open along Naklua Road & Soi 18. The other areas I can not really tell cos wasn't there ....

The best Thai phrase to learn is "Mai Ao" pronounced MY OW with means you don't want what they are offering.

I was in Pattaya in 1988 for 3 weeks and it was the best holiday I ever had my bar of choice was "Best Friend Bar" which to this day is still open on the beach road and the bar (brickwork) looks exactly the same as I remember it even down to the kickboxing ring at the back where I had some fun way back then (I was young and dumb and fit and strong with a brown belt in karate) I would be interested in a current video if that bar if you could fit it in sometime I still remember the name of my "companion" for those 3 weeks as best as I can spell it it was Reari Movingklang she was such a happy person a real joy to be around no matter what we were doing she was always smiling and laughing. I have to say prices today are frightening lol I was buying bottles of singah beer for I think 25bt we sat at the bar playing connect 4 for 10 Bt a game (the girls were real hustlers lol) the bar fine was 100 bt a night and back then it exchange rate was at least double it is today I think. Would I go back? In a heart beat if finances would allow would I go back to the same hotel "Cozy Beach Hotel" well from what I can see of it on google maps its a little run down so I would probably try to "upgrade" to a more modern hotel. It has happened to me on a few occations girls have ran up to me and sat right next to me even if I told I would not buy a drink. One day I asked girl about it and she told it was because a certain customer had walked in. She pointed at him. I looked and seemed like a normal guy. I asked her if he was violent, she shook her head but said that he would make girls do things they didn't wanted to do. Sure there are girls in Pattaya for more or less any fetish, but please respect a "no" when a girl tells you "no". That is my advice to newbies. In other news: I am saddened to see the Dutch restaurant (My Way) has closed in the arcade. Food was fine and it was only half price compared to the other steak restaurants in the arcade.

I think it’s great advice I am planning a first time trip you have to have a different mindset walking into there it’s nothing I’ve ever experienced before I could see myself like buying drinks and ringing the bell and spending a whole bunch of money and I could experience so much more if I followed some of your good advice thank you

Sage advice indeed regarding lady drinks, and the same applies to some beer bars. I always buy the mamasan a drink, just the one, give her a knowing nod and you’ll always be looked after. Considering it’s a business I’m surprised just how much some girls like a drink, It’s no fun facing up to the realisation later that she’s somewhat trashed. Especially if you’re anticipating taking things further, expensive mistake.? You bet, I’ve done it.

My best advice. If you do “sponsor” a Thai gf and travel back and forth between your home country, always, ALWAYS, let them know exactly when you are going to be coming “home” to them. Never think you are going to surprise them with your appearance. You have to give your Thai gf time to take her other farang bf’s pictures off the walls of your apartment or you’ll be the surprised one.
