Stayed there twice. Some rooms aren't in best condition and the rooms facing "action bar street" (as shown) get very hot due to the all glas facade. Longterm residents prefer the rooms on the other side and leave their entrance door to the corridor open when at home. The kitchen area comes without any appliances. For longterm you would "invest" in a cattle microvawe, pots.... and a fan. The narrow pool is okay to swim lengths when alone. Not much of a maintenance either and no shower. Outsiders can use the pool for 50 Baht. All staff are very friendly.

I appreciate you posting your thoughts after staying there. I thought it was a shame the kitchen area lacked appliances considering how large it is, not even a kettle to make tea or coffee, but it’s possible they may supply one if you ask the staff

Good video, and a very reasonable room! But with the air conditioner taking up most of the balcony, it would be a bit cramped to sit out in the evening to enjoy a beer. Is it practical, in your opinion, to buy a cushion and sit on top of the air conditioner, or does it generate too much heat for that? Its a shame to have a balcony if you cannot really sit out there...

I like the location and room looks decent. It is in my top 5 list right now for a somewhat cheap month to month lease to sign when I move here next year. Electric rate is indeed obscene though so that adds 4-5k a month to monthly price.

more like 2k extra

@@ferney2936 hmmm not sure about that! Guess it depends on how often you run the AC. Reds made a comment elsewhere that said running AC just 2 hours a day at 9 baht per unit equaled a monthly electric bill around 2k I think. So it doesn't take much to really run up a big electric bill
@ferney2936

@@clrodrick My current electric cost at 8 baht/unit is B1.6k/m & that's based on aircon around 2h/day in periods of 20 mins just to cool down the room when it gets too hot but ceiling fan on 24h at medium speed. Personally, I find this makes for a comfortable temperature in the room around 25deg. Obviously, if you like a colder environment then you'll care much more about the electric price which is fixed at around B5/unit in condos. That might suit you better but at present I like the convenience of renting month to month without a lease. Hope you find what you're looking for, there's something here for every taste & budget

@@ferney2936 Where I live it is 10 - 24c most days/nights so yeah the heat does get to me. I reckon I would use the AC for at least 12 hours a day/night so even if I set it to 26c my monthly bill would easily be 5k+ at that high electric rate until my body adapts to the heat better.

@@clrodrick Understand. In that case you want to rent a condo rather than a room. With a condo you pay for electric at the government rate of (I believe) 5B/unit & you'll likely have a newer, more efficient aircon unit. You'll likely get a pool & gym in the building but you'll be tied into a long lease. This is what most people do in Pattaya

Looks like wifi is an extra 120 baht a day which would add £60 to a monthly stay. Looks fair value when the daily cost for a month would come to 21,000 baht. Despite all your hard work seeking out places, 95% of rooms look identical. I need to go through the vids and pick out a top 3.

Reds tries to revisit places during low/high seasons to see what price changes are. Plus with inflation still high many of these apartments are much higher in rent compared to when he first reviewed them
