Daz thanks for all the Pattaya information. I am bringing a good friend who is recently divorced, to Pattaya for his first time. It's going to be fun to watch him go crazy. I know there are a few hotels with Jacuzzi rooms, but it is hard to get that information from booking sites. Those sites usually tell you about a shared Jacuzzi, not in room. Maybe you can do a blog about hotels with Jacuzzi rooms in central Pattaya. Thanks

Hotel Tropicana is where I stayed for one week in July. Great stay great stay never asked about the guests I brought back. Booked thru Agoda worked out to be $215 all in (pagoda fees taxes everything). 500 baht deposit which I received back in full. Breakfast buffet 300 baht. My room was second floor next to pool. I was able to turn down the AC to 65 degrees ( make sure to get two pass keys so you can leave one in the electric switch for the room, otherwise everything turns off when you leave) Easy to walk to everything and baht bus is right there at beach rd. I would stay here again.

Actually very quiet. I did forget to mention I wish they had in room safes. Kinda inconvenient to drop off valuables at front desk.

It usually is only a breaker that keeps electricity on. It works with any card even a paper one. I just fold a piece of paper and shove it in. 😅

The Tropicana looks really nice, looks really open and spacious with an old school charm, the pools look fantastic, hotel also looks very clean, the staff appear very friendly and professional which goes a long way with me, I normally stay at The Nautical Inn on Beach Road which I do love but I’m booking in Tropicana next time I think for a change, a balcony room near the pool, low season of course 😉 👍🏻.

1st hotel absolutely no way. 2nd is nice and value good if you can get a good deal. 3rd one I'd stay at with a balcony room.... looks quiet, chilled and really friendly.

Dez, in 1978 on the way to Trat. The trip would take two days. Half way in Rayong or Pattaya I had to find accommodation. In the first hotel i was shown a room with a very sexy included. I didn't stay. Still regretting it today. Maybe 4000 includes the receptionist.

I stayed at the first hotel in March 22, it's made up of 3 buildings, the 1st two were closed, and only the top hotel by 2nd road was open. It was a lovely hotel and cost me about 1000 baht a night. No way would I pay 4000 baht

That is what I call a decent quality hotel, large rooms, great swimming pool, large gardens, great location, very quiet and very friendly staff but informative staff. I've been to Pattaya 16 times since 2015 and I didn't even know that hotel was there next time I fly out to Pattaya I think I'll be booking the hotel Tropicana the only problem I have is I am disabled I can't walk great distances these days due to schuemans on my spine which effects me walking but I think I can put up with the pain.

I've been to Amazon Cafe twice which is in the first hotel, it was nice but prices of rooms are really insane. I saw families with children in the pool, maybe its convenient for them. Second and third are nice. Third one is more like holiday village, i passed through beach road many times but i did not recognize it. Maybe i will try third one next time. Thank you.

Excellent video. I was thinking of staying at the first hotel as will be my first time to pattaya. But the more I look and reasearch i think I’ll stay closer to LK metro. Plus it’s near to tree town. But the seven zea hotel is really nice.

I think that is a smart move from a logistics standpoint. Get a decent hotel between 2nd Rd and Soi Buakhao as that way easy walk to either street and access to the baht bus system. Staying near the Six makes it a bit tough to get to Soi Buakhao

My 2 cents - first one way overpriced though nice. The Seven Zea is my clear favorite for Agoda quoted price of 900bht a night (I figure it is 1100 after Agoda pads the bill 20% like they always do at checkout). The last one is decent choice too though I would spend the extra 300bht to get the nicer room with balcony and nice pool. That gym though ... ugh. Yeah Seven Zea for the clear win! My only argument against getting these hotels around 'the Six' is as fun as that area is, it can be a bit difficult getting to Soi Buakhao area. Either walk to beach road and get on baht bus and spend 10-15 going all the way down and then back up 2nd road before getting off and walking. Or walk all the way down to Central Pattaya Road then take baht bus to Soi Buakhao street or continue walking. That is about a 15-20 minute walk though (in the heat) so people like me will be sweating heavily and in desperate need of some 7-11 AC haha. Depending on traffic even the baht buses can get rather toasty sitting inside for 15 minutes depending on traffic conditions. For my November trip I decided on Whisper hotel, has anybody stayed there? It's more expensive (about $40/night), but I really like the location as it is very short walk to either 2nd Rd or Soi Buakhao. So if I want to visit the Six it would be two minutes walking then hop on baht bus. Soi Buakhao just two minute walk and hop on baht bus (or walk). Walking Street probably about a 7-10 minute walk not too bad.

Seven Zea , Pattaya Blue Sky. Best Beach Hotel are all great choices right there on Soi 5. Baht bus on Beach Road or Second road is a 2 or 3 minute walk and you can be on Walking Street or ride all the way to Treetown etc. in a few minutes :) Also, Soi 4 has many similar priced hotels and some condo's for rent monthly

please explain how one can 'ride all the way to Treetown in a few minutes. Ain't happening unless you order a rideshare. You would need to walk to Beach Rd and hop on baht bus and wait for it to loop all the way down to Walking Street then back up 2nd Rd and ride it all the way North until you get to Myth and then walk 5 minutes East to get to Treetown. That is more like 20 minutes at least

@@clrodrick I just take a motorcycle and I'm in TT in 5 minutes. 40 baht from my hotel. Used to take me 1 1/2 hours each way to drive to work, so this is heaven. But there will always be complainer's, even here in Paradise. I'm retired, so I'm not in a rush regardless :)

@@RickVanValen yeah I totally get that! I was just trying to figure out how you get to Treetown in a few minutes without having your own motorbike or use a Bolt or Grab. The rideshares in Thailand are great but sometimes a bit scary. Super cheap but I have a few more grey hairs riding on the bike of a Grab motorbike taxi going from Pattaya or Jomtien or other way. Similar with Bangkok. By the way congrats on being retired there I will be joining you in 2025

I walked down soi 6 yesterday. How can this soi be the no.1 place to stay during a Pattaya holiday? There's so many girls that it's overcrowded, and the music is so loud that it's feels like pure noise. It's "sticks" in the ears because of bad sound quality, and may give ear damage, if you stay to long. Svein

Discovery beach is decent not bad but I didn’t really like it if you want something cheaper and a lot a lot better is the (hotel vista pattaya) on soi 6 straight walk to beach road I only stayed there for one night because they were full and they upgraded me to a sweet room because it was the last one and I payed about 1900 bt on Agoda in the high season highly recommend for 4 star hotel families or solo

Hi Daz. Like you, I am a big fan of Soi 6, but on a few occasions I have caught the nasty itchy belly rash after ST with a few of the girls! Same in Soi Honey! A visit to the pharmacy with some magic ointment cleared it up after a few days! Ha ha, 😅

I believe each room has it's own individual safe in the reception area as opposed to in the room. It seems slightly safer to me.

I don't think that a decent quality in-room safe is too much to ask in this day and age. Although I did stay at Basaya Resort in 2016 and having to go down to reception just to get some money every couple of days felt like a real pain in the asp.

Those lock-boxes aren't always attached, so can be carried away. Whoever takes it away will figure out some way to get access. What good are they, then? In fact, come to think of it, the ones that are attached can be easily unattached, with the right tools. Isn't it better to hide your valuables somewhere in the room or, simply, take them with you?

Who the hell wants to spend most of the holiday down Soi 6 is beyond me, there’s a lot more to see and do in Pattaya. Soi 6 is just a RIP OFF. If you want bars for 2 or 3 weeks stay away from 6 there’s plenty more.

Walking Street is the giant rippoff. LK Metro 2nd biggest ripoff. the Six is well down the list of ripoffs one can just walk around and bar hop and buy a few drinks for you and a few for the ladies and easily get out of there for < 1500 baht for a fun night out. 1500 baht hardly buys you anything on Walking Street that money would be gone after the first 30-60 minutes LOL.
