Thanks Heather. Pattaya does get a lot of stick. But if one isn't visiting for the obvious draw, tough to beat the great live music, also spoilt for pure choice and fantastic value from grub n grog to hotels (plus even some fairly nice local beaches as we'll see next time;) STL

Thanks Ant. The area shown (Buakhao) is the liveliest in Pattaya, so not indicative of the 'whole' by any means. There's still many quiet areas, particularly the middle parts of most beach rd sois. Also still darkened gaps on Walking St and side sois but also more opening all the time (as we shall see in next vid). STL

Have you ever taken the train from Bkk to Pattaya? If so how is the price vs. The bus?
@SideTripLife2 жыл бұрын
Yes actually but about 10 years ago, LOVE the train. cost like 30 baht or something for 3rd class. BUT Pattaya train stn is on the 'dark side' (East Pattaya) so if you have to get a ride from East Sukhumvit to say beach rd area that negates any cost saving. STL

What On nut food court is GONE! When? Wow what a bummer, I used hang out with a girlfriend that lived down on soi 81 and we spent many nights enjoying the fantastic food and live entertainment. Although this time of year it got pretty balmy in there, Nov to Jan it was a great place that still had that Thai locals feel amidst all the farang hi rises.

hopefully that sign hanging outside indicating a new foodcourt is accurate. However, that land being right beside a main BTS stn, just a matter of time... (sigh) STL

Nothing special about these cameras in night mode, it's just lowering shutter speed and just raising exposure that it, but raising exposure degrades image quality, it would be same as i'm doing this in POST, there might be some more "AI" stuff going on but it's not some sort of super duper sensor this phone is using.

In no more than 2 years, the entire Sukhumvit line will take the communication cables underground and will renovate the footpath.
@SideTripLife2 жыл бұрын
Looking at lower Sukhumvit in Bangkok, what a difference! Add in the new parks etc and Bangkok is really becoming world class! I just worry about Krungthep becoming more like Singapore, lovely but.... (I do love visiting Singapore btw;) STL
@สุทธิศักดิ์มธุรพงศากุล2 жыл бұрын
@@SideTripLife You are a very talented youtuber who is interested and knows that Bangkok is doing a lot of infrastructure. Silom Road is currently doing footpaths and renovating the landscape. The old rowhouses are disappearing. and communication cables, electric cables, are being put underground both in the CBD and along the various BTS and MRT lines The next two years will begin to see changes. Next year there will be a new park. The construction of this park is beautiful in a different form than Benjakitti Forest Park. And Lumpini Park is being renovated next year. but secretly regrets the new governor's vision is not far enough he reduced the size of the renovation by a quarter of the original budget. 😉😔

So noisy with all the bars competing to be the loudest! Why people like noise is beyond me. Noise is not music, as true musical pieces are evergreen, but most of the popular top 40 or top this and top that are just period junks! What you see at the clubbing areas are live-noise, not live music.
