Karon, Not many words can explain the look of this dress, so I chose STUNNING! Your choices are beautiful and I don’t believe anyone will tell you the design on the back is upside down. The black sandals are okay, yes white might be better, you could also try nude. Beautiful job, well done.

Beautiful job with that pattern matching and design! Yes to white sandals! The black are just too heavy looking and the white would tie in with the lighter parts of the dress fabric. ❤❤❤

Karon you completely nailed it! The pattern matching and copying the look of the inspiration dress. Such a classy dress. I audibly gasped when you said you weren't going to wear it. It's beautiful and looks lovely on you. Maybe it's just the shoe that's putting you off. Have you thought about trying the old trick of wearing a plan shoe, maybe a pump or flat, that matches your skin tone to make the footwear "disappear?" I don't think the look is busy at all.

I agree! The black ones look to heavy, clunky. Beige, thin strapped sandals would look good with that loud print in my opinion.

Hello Karon, I hope you will wear this dress, 'cause it's fantastic and you look great in it. Maybe, if you find thinner straps black sandals? I'm sure when you find perfect shoes for it, you will love it. At least I hope so, cause it is perfect and beautiful. I can't imagine the amount of planning, to get such pattern matching and to have it done from 3 yards. As per the panel on the back, I would never ever notice, if you did not point this out. It's not obvious at all, and after looking at it, at think that this "mistake" was very fortuitous , as it follows and accentuates your body shape; wider towards the shoulders and narrower at the waste. Another fantastic make. I can't wait for you to decide to do tutorials and sew-alongs.
