PATTERNING HEVI METAL #4'S

HERE IS PART 1 IN THE DUCK PATTERN SERIES!!
WE WILL BE DOING ALL THE POPULAR DUCK LOADS & COMPARING HOW THEY PATTERN AT 20 & 40 YARDS!!
THIS IS THE FIRST VIDEO IN THE SERIES AND IT FEATURES THE HEVI-METAL 3 INCH 4 SHOT SHOT OUT OF MY STOEGER M3500 WITH BOTH THE PATTERNMASTER CODE BLACK GOOSE & BLACK CLOUD MODIFIED CHOKES!!
THE HEVI-METAL OUT OF THE BLACK CLOUD MODIFIED HAD A REAL EVEN GREAT PATTERN AT 20 YARDS AND WOULD HAVE PROVIDED A CLEAN KILL!
THE HEVI-METAL OUT OF THE BLACK CLOUD MODIFIED OPENED UP QUITE A BIT AT 40 YARDS (AS TO BE EXPECTED WITH A MODIFIED) BUT STILL HAD A EVEN PATTERN AND SOME GOOD HITS IN THE VITALS
THE HEVI-SHOT OUT OF THE CODE BLACK GOOSE AT 20 YARDS WAS A DEVASTATING TIGHT EVEN PATTERN THAT NO DUCK WOULD SURVIVE!!
THE HEVI-SHOT OUT OF THE CODE BLACK GOOSE AT 40 YARDS WAS STILL A GREAT TIGHT PATTERN THAT HAD MULTIPLE VITALS HITS AND WOULD HAVE BEEN YET ANOTHER DEAD DUCK!!
THIS LOAD OUT OF THESE CHOKES PROVED TO BE VERY IMPRESSIVE BRINGING A TIGHT EVEN PATTERN WITH THE EXTRA FULL CHOKE AT BOTH 20 & 40 YARDS, AND A KILLER PATTERN AT 20 YARDS & A OPEN BUT EFFECTIVE PATTERN WHICH I WOULD EXPECT AT 40 YARDS WITH A MODIFIED CHOKE!!
WE WILL BE TESTING THIS LOAD AGAINST OTHERS IF REQUESTED AS WELL AS THROUGH OTHER PATTERNMASTER CHOKE TUBES!!

20 and 40 is good. How I do all of mine. I'm running the carlson cremator lr and the black cloud mid. I patterned the carlson lr with browning wicked wing, hevi metal Winchester super x and federal speed shock all in 2 shot. The federal performed the best but not by much over the heck metal. I used left over Christmas paper draped over a pallet and made a center dot and 30 in circle at 40. I left the paper on the ground in front of the pallet and after each shot I cut it off and pulled it up. Love seeing the targets like you are using in the videos.just using what I had. Just wanted to share. Hoping this helps someone at home. Love the videos! Keep it up. Happy hunting!

Awesome can't wait for more! I would keep the 20 and 40 yards its it's a good range I feel for the ducks and the decoys or just outside of them. I would love to see the black cloud choke against each with the high velocity rounds vs regular black cloud rounds.

Most any shell/choke combo will smoke a duck up to 30 yds. Try the loads/choke at 40 and 50 yds.

what gun are you shooting? it looks like you got a good one that shoots where you aim. i been testing a few shotgun patterns and MOST shotguns do not have a perfect point of aim. seems like all benelli's shoot high, and i checked 2 mossbergs that shoot 3-4 inches low.

It varies from person to person and gun to Gun regarding POA this is the stoeger M3500 I should have stated that in the video I do apologize! It’s a great gun now my main waterfowl gun is the Franchi Affinity 3!
