That’s a pretty tight pattern but no voids and very few flyers so that’s a plus. Also really wish RR would put the constriction on their website so the customer can see what they’re getting. This test is pretty steep though $130 for the choke, $120 for the box of ammo and $75 cone work. I truly appreciate you boys for your commitment to this project. It’s definitely not inexpensive and doesn’t go unnoticed 🤝🇺🇸

Been watching your pattern series for quite some time. I notice it’s always new chokes and a lot of times new ammo. Question. I have a stock mossberg 535 and also a stock 870 Turkey/ Predator. Both come with factory chokes for turkey. Do you think if I shipped you guys my gun you’d be interested in doing just a ammo comparison for the factory choke. Just thinking for a normal guy like myself not wanting to go spend a bunch of money on another choke. Also just the main lead loads out there. No TSS. I’m not spending that money on shells. Let me know if you’d be interested.
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA

I would have to look into what I’d have to do to make that happen We do have 870’s I could ask moose & hawk if they have their stock chokes we could pattern a bunch of ammo with them We plan on doing a lot more stock pattern tests this series

Are you seeing differences in choke material or brand, or is restriction the main driver between patterns differences?
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA Жыл бұрын
Do you mean constriction? Every brand has a different design so they perform differently at different constrictions etc
@berk3695
@berk3695 Жыл бұрын
Yes, constriction. Sorry. Say in a shotgun are you seeing brand X with a .564 constriction shooting similar patterns as brand Y with a .564 constriction in the same gun? Choke material and design are making the difference.
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA Жыл бұрын
It’s all about how their design works with constriction per shot size There is tons of variables, some brands their .555 blows out anything other than 9.5’s or 10’s others .555 could be unpicky and lights out it all comes down to how constriction is utilized in their design We’ve seen tons of more open constrictions shoot tighter patterns than tighter constrictions

He's done my turkey guns, nothing like a hot rod turkey gun, lengthen the forcing cone& good choke& shell's brother hang on you get great patterns from lead& better from TSS your on the right path now boy's
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA

Why would you pay the extra money for him to work on your guns when they come already done up just fine to kill turkeys……..

@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA you Don't know much about patterns huh? Ask Rob Roberts how much better a gun shoots with the forcing cone lengthed,less flyers,& less felt recoil & better patterns but since your into all this pattern stuff I thought you should have known this one key thing but I guess not
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA Жыл бұрын
It was sarcastic but it went right over your head… I guess I shoulda known it would have 🤣 It was a jab at you saying tss isn’t worth the extra cost over lead when lead does just fine… it’s the same exact concept for having your forcing cone lengthened.. stock works fine but it is a huge upgrade when it’s been lengthened It’s the same thing in regards to tss vs lead performance… not a hard concept to see the difference

I would highly recommend not taking off the chrome And a machinist should know how to run a manual lathe and that’s all it’d take to do what’s needed for the forcing cone
