Fun Fact: Regigigas has 10 points in attack more than Zacian-Crowned but 40 less in speed, yet Zacian has an ability that gives it a 1.5x Atk when it enters battle and one of the best offensive type combos in the game while Regigigas has an ability that makes it useless for 5 turns that resets if it's switched out. It doesn't really feel fair, now does it?

Since Wo-Chien represents famine and is known for draining ecosystems, being Dark/Poison would have made sense for it, even without changing its aesthetic or removing its Grass moves. Imagine how much of a monster that would be.

Specially considering that its only weakness as a Dark/Poison would be a type that has big big majority of attackers in the physical side (Ground), which would go great with its ability. But on the other hand, a Poison Wo-Chien would kind of create an unbalance within the four Ruinous Pokemon. I say this because with just their typing alone and not looking into stats and movepool, there's a kind of circle of balance between them in which one mon beats another that beats another that beats another that beats the first, being Ting-Lu, the Ground type, beating Fire goldfish Chi-Yu, that itself beats the Ice leopard Chien-Pao, which beats the Grass type Wo-Chien, who can beat the Ground Ting-Lu. If Wo-Chien was Poison type instead of Grass, not only would it be weak to what it now can win, but it wouldnt win against any other. I know there have been cases of groups of Pokemon that were designed together and end up totally off this type of balancing thing, but I think this was the intent with these Ruinous Pokemon because even their abilities are designed to give them an extra umph on their own or cancel each other out if paired against their opposite ruin.

It’s very funny to me how hard Pat was going on Transistor and Dragon’s Maw being worse than adaptability, despite being objectively stronger (Adaptability is 2x, Transistor and DM are 1.5 time the 1.5 base = 2.25x). Even after the transistor nerf, it’s only 2.5% worse than adaptability.

Arcanine was great in VGC, it was one of, if not, the most commonly used mon in Gen 7. And then the wrestling cat gained Intimidate and bullied the dog out of its spot.

It and the hisuian variant are still used in VGC, not nearly as much as they used to (as you said, Incineroar is just overall more flexible) But some teams slot Arcanine (or the hisuian variant) in for Will-o-Wisp or howl and other such moves as well as extremespeed!

I was making an Emerald Romhack at one point where Regigigas was going to be a secret boss, I didn't remove the ability tho, I gave it a 40 base power rock move (so ghosts couldn't stop it) called Rumbling that could give it an omni boost, with a couple of signature high power normal moves with varying effects as well, I think I also gave it protect or rest or something

My idea on legendaries is if your op, cool and have nice story your a legendary. Zekrom, reshiram, kyuerem, the weather trio, the bird trio, the creation trio, the aura trio, the deer squad, hoopa, the alien dude with 4 forms, gennesect, the other weather trio with a new member(enamorous i think), paradox legendaries, mew and mewtwo, jerachi, victiny, celiby, phione and mannaphy, darkrai, the new gen 9 legends. Those guys. Idk about the singing celebratity pokemon or the little hedghog pokemon that turns into a deer.

Legend clasification a bit funky When I saw legend I mean the super type. Ultra beasts where sub legends, but then they got their own catagory. Pat is going to unleash gigas with buff, small tomfoolery (defintly wont make inceneroar level effect, as its essentialt an unresricted restrcited legend) The reason guzlord has such stats is cause they are prime numbers Think of why future paradox has even past odd. So interdimesnsional has prime.

they both fall under the classification of "folk story" so no they really aren't that different. in fact, in the section of words similar to "myth" includes "legend" anyways, and the similar words section to "legend" includes "myth" in it, so what do you mean? it is actual NPC behavior to just state "um actually they are very different things and should be considered as such" when in reality, few would actually care if you use the slight difference interchangeably, much like what people in years past have done with both "myth" and "legend" stories. they may be different words, may have slightly different meanings, but the words function effectively and practically the same, and nobody would be any wiser criticizing you for it.

A “myth” is a story from the past that can’t be verified and people don’t know if it happened Aside from that point language is the most important tool humans have to to create, develop, and preserve ideas. Now that’s not going to happen here, but if you don’t value language and you have any influence to make other people also not care about language that’s where you get into a questionable territory.

I think SS reduces the actual stat and not the base stat. And considering Azumarill´Atk (Base 50) with Huge Power is > Base 100, I´d say Gigas attack is even lower than Base 80 while SS is active.

Why couldn't they just give Regigigas Truant or something? Both Slaking and Regigigas have 670 BST. Both have 160 Attack and 100 Speed. Slaking has more health and 100 in Defense whereas Regigigas has less health than Slaking, but 110 in both defense stats. Eventhough that may be true, Regigigas gets absolutely wrecked. Slow Start is the dumbest ability because they claim that Regigigas would be too powerful WHEN SLAKING IS RIGHT THERE. Sure, it has Truant and can't act every other turn, but it's an absolute beast AND it's a NON LEGENDARY POKEMON. So again I ask, WHY NOT JUST GIVE REGIGIGAS TRUANT? It's a freakin LEGENDARY POKEMON, of course it's supposed to be OP.
