We seem to have reached some sort of paradox here. In the AVGN video, he DOESN'T have the NWC, but Pat does. In this, Pat doesn't have it but the AVGN finds it. I know they're two seperate videos, but they do a collaboration, and this creates inconsistency.

Look at it like this. The AVGN video happened first. Pat didn't have a repo because he had the real deal. After the carts were destroyed and Pat's fit of rage, he decided to take the repo. AVGN could have realized that maybe he just wanted one for his collection. So he bought it. Paradox has been solved.

Metros can be cool with a little work. It's a rebadged Suzuki Cultus, a version of which was actually used in rally racing if you can believe it. There are some hop-up parts available for it out there, there's even a kit that lets you swap in a Suzuki sport bike engine.

Brought back a lot of memories. I competed the first day in Dallas. Won the day's high score from the "throne". It was about 650k points. I remember that the officials thought that there was a typo, so they went back to look at the game. For an 11 year old, it was overwhelming being in the center stage. EGM and Nintendo Power both stuck microphones in my face afterwards. Yup, pretty awesome. Thanks for the memories.

I remember hearing about the NWC on the news, I was 8 years old at the time, and my brother and I wanted to enter it... but my father said no because he thought that playing video games would rot our brains and nothing would come of something like this. Luckily, my mom is cool and let us watch the TV coverage of it while the asshole king was outta town.
