I truly believe James 'Bud' Ellison, was the BADDEST musical director, EVER!! He and LIVING LEGEND, Ms. Patti 'BADASS' Labelle, created musical magic since the 1970's, when she became a solo artist, until his death in 2007. His music arrangements matched Patti's other worldly vocals perfectly.

People don’t know the magnitude of her voice and her skills as a vocalist. Patti actually enjoys what she’s doing. She has a spirit over her. This was the 80’s and she was a beast on the road and TV. They talk about her negatively sometimes but they can’t touch her especially during this time of career.

Patti has done some Broadway plays since the 90s. She did theater in the 80s too after going solo in 77. She also did A Different World which was her best part for me. She's did Horror Story which was pretty good too but nothing beat Chipmunk's Mama!
