She is speaking from the experience of losing so many people she loved within a few years-Robert Mapplethorpe in 1989, Richard Sohl, the keyboard player in her first band in 1990, her husband and her brother dying a month apart, in Nov.1994, all so young-in their 40s. Then her parents and others. She is speaking as a person who has endured profound loss and out of this she has been given a much greater awareness of the privilege of living life on earth. ❤️
