I was at that very Slipknot show in New Jersey where they brought on the Slip Nutz and it was amazing. I was probably part of 0.4% of that audience that immediately caught what was happening and burst into laughter while trying not to get crushed in that packed, restless crowd. The bit aired on the show about a month later and when they panned that camera to the unsuspecting audience flipping them off it was *chef's kiss*

Slipnuts is easily one of my favorite sketches. My other low-key favorite one-off sketch is when Conan was announcing future guests on a show, there was a King reacting to the guests, and kept saying "Kill him/her" to each guest. A herald would echo what the long had said after each judgement. When Conan pressed him, he explained that his mind was "raging with syphilis" which was then repeated by the herald. This is forever burned in my brain, but I can't find any clip of it on KZbin.

Patton Oswalt was a guest on the April 2nd, 2003 episode of Late Night with Conan O’Brien. The musical guest was the “early screamo band” Finch. Finch was an awesome band which was influenced by Glassjaw and they essentially created the sound that numerous bands copied into the mid-2000s which became the typical post-hardcore sound. Their first album was pretty great and they were only 16 and 17 when they recorded it. I remember downloading a bunch of their demos on kazaa back before the album came out and songs like 'Ender' (the early demo version blew me away). Their second album was extremely ambitious and underrated with lots of time signature changes and jazz voicings and they would have been 20 and 21 when they recorded that. I never found their lyrics too preachy like other bands such as Underoath.
