Pretty badly. From a casting standpoint alone you could potentially kill all the characters, and with Disneys track record of race and gender swapping there is an extraordinary high probability of that happening.

Keep in mind, she wanted to make a very different WW 2, in line with the Snyder Cut. But when the whole Josstice League debacle happened, she had to do something different. WW84 was co-written by Geoff Johns, the main dude responsible for the "more FUN" debacle.

Amen. but Only time will tell. Patty Jenkins may have messed up Wonder Woman 2 but she has a great passion and respect for pilots because her father, William T. Jenkins was an Air Force Officer and fighter pilot. So I'm guessing that passion will flow into the movie. But passion isn't enough. You also need a damn good script and no interference from executives.

I would love to see how Rogue Squadron goes with Patty Jenkins at the helm. I know she has seen the games in action and the misisons behind them. The original game did introduce Kason Moore who defected during the campaign and she became a member of the squadron. There is a lot of story from the pilots that can be brought into this. Lets hope they get it right.

If there's a war with the Imperial Remnant, they may actually insert the Rogue Squadron movie into the timeline of the Mandalorian, Ahsoka, etc... By that time as I recall Wedge has already married Snap's mom and retired on Akiva. That would mean no Wedge, maybe a cameo and that's it.

I think there is much reason to be skeptical. First, Disney’s history of changing established characters. Second, Kathleen Kennedy is still in charge. Third, the quality drop in Wonder Woman 1984 from the first film, knowing that Patty Jenkins was given more control over the second film. I would gladly trade this Rogue Squadron movie for a remaster of the N64 classic game. I’d love a remake but I don’t trust companies to remake something without ruining it. I think all will be revealed in the first trailer for this movie, whether we are getting Rogue Squadron or Rouge Squadron.

I just want to see some of our favorite pilots and rebels even if just some are cameos. Han Solo, Shara Bey and her Starlight Squadron, Sgt. Kes Dameron, etc. interacting with Rogue Squadron. *chef’s kiss* They may have to recast Luke and Wedge for this because those are big parts of the story. And may also have to bring back Alden Ehrenreich as Han for small parts. I don’t see why not since honestly he was done pretty dirty by fans and LF alike. This would be a perfect way to have him return and to see a new live-action Luke Skywalker and a new Wedge Antilles. I vote Austin Butler for Luke and Callum Turner for Wedge, but that’s just me. I love Sebastian Stan but he’s getting too old guys. And like I said those two roles are very important for this movie so can’t be CGI’d entirely. That’d be too costly still. And I just loved these two as fly boys in Masters of the Air. It just reminded me of Rogue Squadron - even told my husband that. LOL And before anyone screams at me, yessss Shara Bey is Poe Dameron’s mother. She was married to Pathfinder Sargent Kes Dameron in the Rebellion. He fought under the command of Han Solo. Tid bit of history, it was said Kes Dameron helped design the Hoth base carving out the tunnels into the mountain with Shara Bey’s mounted A-Wing cannon. If they barely feature these two (and they should because I actually love their stories and how tied they were to Rogue Squadron) that would be about the extent of the “tie in”. Also Rouge Squadron got its name in honor of Rouge One’s heroic efforts to deliver the Death Star plans to the Rebellion. I’m sure there will be name drops of characters in Rogue One I’m sure.

Theory, this might not actually be happening. You need to watch Jeff Schneider’s talk with John Rocha where he talks about this. A lot of this may just be Patty handing in the draft she was contracted to do, and the film itself is just in limbo. There is no official announcement from Lucasfilm nor any statement on it from them about it. What Jeff spoke on was how she was difficult to work with Lucasfilm and that the two couldn’t come to agreements on it. Jeff has legit sources and info he gets from over there (proven many times) and he’s been saying that this movie isn’t going to happen for a while. And it’s not just him, other spots with their own sources have been saying similar things. So Patty’s statements are a bit confusing, and when you take into account Lucasfilm/Disney statements with upcoming Star Wars projects, this is all contradictory. So honestly, until Lucasfilm comes out and makes an official statement or reveal, I’m not going to believe that Rogue Squadron is happening. Keeping expectations super low for now.

I hope this isn’t another false dawn, because it seemed like such a great idea for what they were doing at the time it got postponed. I’ve learned to take what LucasFilm says with a grain of salt, because there does even to be two schools of thought about things in the company. The idea of a movie is really appealing but I could also see them as a TV series, and they get folded into the Mandelorian movie or possibly the Filoni movie. There are really interesting idea that could happen with this. they could bring in characters fromt he Aftermath trilogy of novels, or Alphabet Squadron. I’m not sure anyone has said that people didn’t want to see a woman direct, because we’ve had a few work on the TV shows who did a terrific job, but this director for the Rey movie doesn’t;t feel like a good fit for what is required to be done. She’s a documentarian for one thing , and has little experience in making a large movie production with a lot of SFX. Anyone who want to know who should be directing the Rey movie should go and watch what Takashi Yamazaki did with Godzilla minus One. It was the best thing I saw last year, including the likes of Oppenheimer.
