For me, one of the best drummer in punk-rock. I love Patty. Hole is still is one my favorite band.

I have a fond memory of seeing her backstage at the Big Day Out in Adelaide with an Xray Spex t shirt on. They were my favourite punk band growing up. Was too shy to go up and chat even though I too am a drummer. Great interview, thanks.

I haven't been able to watch all these interviews as you've been releasing them but the few I have caught have been great to hear. Thanks for compiling them and preserving these great stories from these great musicians!

This is great to see. I knew Patty back in the early days as a fellow drummer in the same group of friends. To me she always seemed to be very kind & a bit quiet . Most of our old group of friends are still friends.

Found this interview after listening to her book on Audible. Patty is an absolute bad ass. All of her story has really affected me.. her recovery in particular.

Maybe it's telling, or maybe it's just circumstantial, but I noticed how brief the mentions of Kurt & Kristen's deaths are (I understand that), and there was no mention at all (unless I missed it) or Courtney essentially getting Patty off of the streets by paying her to drum on Courtney's solo album.

I am not a fan of any of the ladies you have interviewed and their bands. I have zero interest in grunge, a type of music that totally depresses me. This said, I really enjoyed the interviews I have watched so far. It's about time that Ladies get their dues, mostly the instrumentalists. I may not like the music but cannot deny the talent. Great project! Don't forget some of the 70's/early 80's pioneers :-) Kudos!

I'm hard on drummers in my bands or in the studio and ... ... wait wait ... I met Patty a few times thru Eric and she's a REALLY GOOD DRUMMER. Solid azfuq! Why Courtney fucked her out of the band and last album - well - of course - it's BULLSHIT.

I think what happened - if we’re comparing now to the 90s - is rock disappeared from the mainstream, kind of in parallel with the crash of the recording industry. If you look at the rock scenes that do exist, (outside of top 40), I think you’ll find the strides women made in the 90s have continued. It’s not a novelty whatsoever anymore. As for pop, Madonna took charge of her career and narrative at an early point, and it seems to me there are plenty of women following in her footsteps - most famously Taylor Swift. But yeah, of course pop is the home of manufactured acts. Always was, always will be. And so there will be horror stories. And of course both Madonna and Taylor Swift have had to fight brutal fights to get their way. I'm not saying we're there, I'm just saying I don't think we're going backwards. The issues Patty mentions though are more to do with society in general and the era we live in, (social media), rather than a backlash for women in music. In my humble opinion.
