I knew an elderly couple who were probably in their 70s when I met them. When you saw one, the other was not too far away. Their story: they were both on separate dates at a dance (big band era). They saw each other from across the room. It was love at first sight. They ended up leaving together. They got married the following year. That was in their early 20s. So by the time I befriended them, they were happily married for over 50 years! It's cliche, I know, yet sweet because you can tell immediately that they were just right for each other.
