I used to deliver coal to this man when he used to live in Meadow vale Clonkeen road in Dublin and i have to say what a Gentleman he was to deal with. I never told him how much of a fan of his i was then but i got to meet him years later in a little town in Co Wicklow called Kilcoole. The only thing i had to hand was a copy of the local paper called the bray people and he duly signed it for me and may i say a most treasured possession i still have to this day.

I went to a concert, having been a fan for a long time, went with my wife who wasn’t really a fan, one of the best concerts we’ve ever been to. He’s a brilliant musician

@Jamie Byrne . Did you know our friend Damo - Damian Cahill RIP . Local hero and musician with his merry gang The Whipperwills regulars of The Harbour Bar ?
@jamiebyrne4583 жыл бұрын
@@mayheminducer4840 I sure did know him and a true gent indeed he was, first seen him in the sunny bank many years ago.really nice guy. Got introduced to him by my cousin Jenny Dutton I think in the Dug inn all those years ago. A very small would we live in. One of my all time favourites would be Paul Ashford. Got to know him well when he moved out to Greystones and became part of the fixtures and fittings in the local bar. A nicer guy you couldn’t hope to meet and gone to early.

I discovered Mr Brady's music by pure random chance, while browsing through a bargain CD bin, in the early 1990s in Cape Town, South Africa, when I came across "Paul Brady Echoes and Extracts", a Not-for-sale sampler of his music featuring Crazy Dreams, Nothing but the same old Story, Trouble around the Bend, Just in Case of Accidents , and Paradise is Here, .. The CD cover was covered with alchemical symbols, which was an interest of mine at the time. I trusted the synchronicity and bought it and have appreciated his music ever since.

They were friends but never recorded. I'm from Gerry's home town and know Paul a little.....he did a Rafferty tribute concert at Paisley Town Hall and was staying at the hotel where, by coincidence, my cousin was having her pre wedding hen night. He entertained the gang in the hotel bar! I got some strange messages from both cousin and Mr Brady.
