A gorgeous version of David Bowie’s ‘Ashes to Ashes’, featuring Jherek Bischoff and the amazing Stargaze orchestra, wonderfully sang by Paul Buchanan (The Blue Nile) at the recent BBC Bowie Proms. Like us all, we’ve heard this Bowie song many times, but this rendition is as good as it gets in my view. Paul Buchanan made me really listen to the words like never before so I’ve uploaded this with the Lyrics. You’ll notice a few changes by Paul from the original, but nothing that detracts from the majesty of it all. It would be nice if this version made it to No.1 again. Thanks for listening.

As a Bowie fan since 1993 I have to say that this version of Ashes to Ashes is deplorable. That is the kindest thing I can say after listening. I think Paul has long since passed his sell by date unfortunately.
