Actually it is not smart move - the Clippers gave away 5 first round picks (4 of them unprotected), 2 pick swaps, a sallary filler in Danilo Gallinari and a prospect by the name of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to OKC just to pair PG with Kawhi and will lose him for next to nothing. The Clippers should've at least recouped some of the lost assets by traiding PG for a 1-2 FRP at best. Now, they'll slid back to mediocrity, while SGA continues to thrive with the Thunder.

If Paul wanted to win before his career fizzles out, he'd go to Denver or Dallas (no matter how low he'd have to get paid). Both teams would be unbeatable with a SG/SF of his level. Literally everyone else (including OKC) is a question mark if they could win or not, but Dallas and Denver could get to the Finals without him. The 76ers are the best option in the East, but you have to gamble on Embiid staying healthy and how good their team will be after losing Harris and picking him up. I'm sure he'll talk about how much he wants to win as he goes wherever he can get the most money, no matter if it makes him go out with no rings and no legacy.

Denver were willing to trade for him, had he opted in, but Denver withdrew from the trade discussions because Clippers wanted too much draft pick compensations. I read it on Bleacher Report 🤔

@@ColdHoops I don’t blame him for wanting his money, I just get tired of hearing these guys talk about how much they want to win and then always going to whoever can pay the most money no matter how bad they are. Just once I’d like to see one of the stars actually take $30 million instead of $50 million so they could win and become relevant in their career.

@@SDesWriter Totally agree, but George said recently somewhere that "winning isn't a priority for him" wherever he goes next. So personally, if I was a team with cap space or a team rather wanted to trade for him, after hearing that I'd stop pursuing him immediately. I wouldn't offer him one dollar lol

@@ColdHoops I saw him say on a podcast that winning was a big thing for him, which would make sense considering his bad luck over the years. But if he’s honest enough to admit that all he cares about is getting as much money as possible, then I don’t hold it against him for not trying to take less to play with a better team. But I agree with you, if I was GM and heard that, he would be off my board completely.
