Great teacher "what you're doing is not wrong, I'm just teaching you a different setup." That's a powerful way to connect and help players without making them feel inadequate. Not many coaches say that, they act is if their way is the only way.

When your coach lets you make mistakes, makes you feel comfortable, corrects you and is a constant feedback, thats the sign of a GOAT. No wonder Phil has reached these heights. Respect ✊. Letting know how to engage the defender first before getting into 1-2-1 is my personal fav of this training clip.

This is hands down the top instructor on basketball skills on youtube. I've been incorporating his tips all summer long playing pick up games at the park. The one on one games have become so much easier knowing how to attack using angles and getting the defenders off balance.

When teaching these drills I have my kids practice the Icky Shuffle. It teaches them to keep their hips open while moving lateral. Also it allows them to feel the movements while being on the balls of their feet and constantly being ready to change direction.

To be able keep your dribble, go both ways, pass or shoot. You’re always in a position to be effective, if you cross you can only commit to that direction and drive but stay wide and square you can do anything

the key is the leg at back puch u forward. the leg at front decide direction or ready to shoot. and keep you square facing the rim.

I would also incorporate single hand receive doing this handling drill to challenge the athlete. I myself do it very beneficial for the collegiate & pro athletes.

Hmmm.... I believe in ONLY pushing off of the rear foot. That way you decide to which foot to push away from. When the defense reads the offense you tend to telegraph first anyways.
