NOTE: I made an error in this episode. I said the statues was in Greenville, Tennessee, but it's actually in Greenville, Texas. I'm sorry for my mistake. :)
Words are powerful. By saying just the right words, we can put people in a state of bliss, as the expression goes, "on cloud nine." A simple smile or kind word is sometimes all that is needed. At the other extreme, we can say just the right words that can send someone into a violent, hysterical rage. These are trigger words. To tell you about another time when words triggered action, take a look at this episode of Paul Harvey's "The Rest of the Story."

The price of victory is so high. The price of freedom is righteous diligence. Thank you Audie Murphy for paying such a high price so that we could have freedom in America. May those of us who have Freedom be diligent to keep it. Thanks for posting Brad.

Thanks for doing one on Audie Murphy! Him and Alvin York were two Americans I revered. I even wrote a paper on Audie in college. There used to be a memorial to him at Clothing and Sales at Ft. Hood. I wish people like the two I mentioned were taught about in grammar schools nowadays instead of the garbage they teach. Thanks Brad

For some reason he states near the end of the video that the statue is located near Greenville Tennessee but he meant to say Greenville Texas. Just an FYI.

Yeah, you caught it... Greeneville TN hosts the tributes to Andrew Johnson, Davy Crockett, and Nathan Greene (Revolutionary War Hero.) I'll bet you can find some examples in AJ and NG that demonstrate how war damages people. It's interesting that in the Biblical Greek & Hebrew, many of the root words translated as "sin" have root meanings of "broken, damaged, scarred, marred, rotted, harmed, disturbed, imperfect, defaced"...you understand...

Oh yeah. He was in some great films. I probably should have covered his time in Hollywood. It's very sad that soldiers were not "deconditioned," as you said, for home life. Certain members of my family who were in Vietnam would certainly agree with you. :)
