I just went to an exhibition of paintings in Adelaide by his star pupil, Clarice Beckett. Amazing. I have also read that a book by another Australian called ‘See It, Paint It’ (by Don Gallagher) explains Max Meldrum’s ideas very simply. I enjoyed your explanation very much, thank-you !

@@PaulIngbretson @Jo Pitt After watching this video I worked to find more information out about both Meldrum and Don Gallagher, I was able to purchase a reproduction of Max Meldrums book from ebay at an affordable price which I am still trying to get through and I have also been fortunate to be able to borrow 'See it Paint it' by Don Gallagher from Ballarat University Library which so far I am finding very straight forward and direct. Thank you both for bringing to my attention.

Can't wait to read this book! He sounds like you... Maestro Ingbretson! About your t-shirt... "visual" is not enough.... It's the relationship of the visual order that truly counts!

I wonder if it would be possible to get a copy of the quotes you read out in this very informative video? Especially since the book is so difficult to come by, but the Meldrum method is so incredibly helpful for realist painters!
