Oh but this is my favorite album with Jerry Garcia playing pedal steel! Also David Crosby's project if I could only remember my name! That had everyone from Joni Mitchell Jerry Garcia on and on!they all helped David Crosby with his first solo project! Jerry was an addict!And we're all attics of the San Francisco music scene! Hello all you hippies out there! I was born in San Francisco 1955! I saw Carlos Santana add a battle of the bands in Hayward California 1966! I met sal Valentino of the beau brummels I was living in San Leandro at the time! My mother bowled against him and beat him! She came walking out of the bowling alley! I think it was called Pacific bowl she asked me if I would like to meet sal Valentino of the beau brummels! I almost peed my pants! Later on when I was living in San Diego about 1990? Jorma kaukonen just finished playing so I had my hot tuna album signed! He was carrying a bottle of Jack Daniels and his guitar! Now I listen to Bruce Hornsby & the noisemakers! Jerry Garcia did an album with Pat Metheny and Hornsby called harbor lights! Great album! I listen to Sting Stevie Wonder I love hybrid jazz! Sting Hornsby! But San Francisco I left my heart there! I was a kid my dad died of a head-on collision in Pacifica California in 1964 so I dove into music it's saved my life! I went on a cross country road trip with friends summer 73, this was the only tape we took. Garcia outdoes himself on this one, really love all early starship. I met Grace a few years ago and she didn't have any "nice" comments when somene asked her about the commercial success of "Jane" era top 40, but said this was a fun time.

A friend & I were on Mushroom's and played this album over & over as we couldn't think what to "play next". LOL >>> That was the night one of us jokingly said, "Wouldn't it be funny if we looked out the door & we'd been transported back to San Francisco ! ! ! We were too scared to open the door and see if we HAD traveled back in time.... {I lived in a small cottage in Northant's, England.}

I saw a concert in New Jersey in '74 with Grace wearing those head-dress extensions. What a concert, Grace at her absolute best! This was when they were still anarchic, didn't give a fuk about mainstream success.

Yes ocnarfeara, I personally usually am not impressed by visual graphics, often they are kitchy and overdone and get in the way of the music. But the way you superimposed pics of the band is wonderfully artistic and you simply must do more, I'm hugely impressed with your style and taste.
