Jesus spoke of "Wetiko" a couple thousand years ago, when He spoke of the devil, saying..."He was a liar and a murderer from the beginning..." John 8:44 Also, every generation for the last 2,000 years has believed THEY were the LAST GENERATION! Well, I discovered some Scriptures in the Bible, that inform us we still have around another 1,000 years, give or take, before the end of this world as we know it. It's rather long to explain, though clear as day when I show what I found, and hiding in plain sight too! This reminds me of Rudolf Steiner and how he'd describe the way that Ahriman and Lucifer influence human thoughts. When describing the politicians and military people who got Europe into WW1, he talked about how they'd make their decision in a dimmed state of consciousness.

Two days ago I asked ChatGPT about accusations of abuse about as many new age and spiritual groups as I could think of. It came back with (surface level) confirmation of this from every single one. I was raised in two cults… (it felt like) I almost died fighting the brainwashing out of my brain and it really did feel so much that I was facing evil itself. I thought it sounded exactly like Wetiko. Ive noticed that some of the most egotistical people on earth are in spiritual groups because it gives them idea of supreme soul level superiority over others. So I guess my question is, why on Earth is no one talking about Wetiko in the spiritual groups? How can it be fought if you don’t see it in your backyard? I desperately wish I could discuss this with Paul. To me it seems ridiculously urgent and I feel so stressed out that no one mentions it.

Everything you are both saying so critical. Levy changed my life years ago with his first books. Those of us who have suffered through this are absolutely the ones needed right now because we do see it. Another wetiko happening and I'm hearing it here is around climate. The agenda driving that conversation with fear based rhetoric that we have caused it is not all true. Geoengineering in our skies for decades has caused the greatest part of weather issues. You recount your awakening experience through dream-time and spiritual practice, which is also how I discovered the virus of mind infecting me with false narratives about myself. Those groups that are like that are not spiritual. They are harvesters of the vulnerable. Yes, the sheep have to spot the wolf in time before getting eaten. Egos are everywhere in places of higher archy and authority. Droves are leaving the police force because of that problem. Bullying, injustice and narcissism. It's mostly in marriages with domestic violence too. But still, women queuing up at the altar to enter into a commitment with someone who may eventually kill her, but she doesn't know it. She is blind to it. It will provide her with an awakening though and she may get stronger from it, unless he dominates her. So those in cults may be needing their eyes opened to the wolves out there and those who escaped may need to be the ones to speak up about it publicly to warn others?

Fantastic, I believe the term “narcissist” is essentially the human embodiment of the wetiko mind virus. Huge ego, vampiric predator. It’s all deeply connected. Nosferatu is basically symbolic of this as well. He mentioned that it’s a sort of trickster energy becasue it imitates life and has no creativity. Dracula is also a shapeshifter. This is all super interesting in Norse mythology as well with the vampire vs lykan. One of the biggest realizations for me has been that the term “shapeshifter” usually brings up a negative connotation, because of its association with vampires, reptilians, skinwalkers etc but all these entities are a cheap imitation of our own potential to create.

Yeah, I think personality disorders/sociopathy is modern psychology’s version of wetiko. It doesn’t encapsulate the whole of wetiko but it covers some of the behaviors.

What we see now is Wetiko coming to the forefront, it appears as chaos, when it is actually a re-ordering. We changed the future, now we must go back to correct the past in order to move into this new future. What is to be in the future has the potential of already having happened and we are simply writing the story of how we got there. Don't leave out in your idea of what is being created that the energy humans sit is right now is something we have never been in, the Earth has in a time when humans were not here yet. The word 'humble' is misunderstood. Most think humility seems to be subservient or meekness in behavior, attitude, or spirit. On the other hand, to be awakened might include engaging in war. I say we must be humble to the truth, whatever that means. But that does not suggest meekness or aggression.. In all systems, the notions of light and dark to a greater or lesser degree realize that meaningful change comes with the ability to know what light/dark is to our own evolution. To break through into 'awakening,' It is not all sweetness, we have the notions of Ring Kaos, and Ring Cosmos, Good/ bad, Light/Dark etc. We must face the discord first to awaken within what is next. Lastly, Don't make an idea into a 'thing.' The moment you define it, you lose it's essence. Learn to 'hear.'

I’d had the suggestion of looking into the Wetiko by my mother. Many people today are focusing on what I could describe as the amorphous shape of an emerging totalitarianism - more so now over the events of the past two years, others over the last decade in a so called “culture war”, and some even beyond these contemporary times. I mean “amorphous totalitarianism” as I’ve understood from the standpoint of psychology and political theory, which is the basis of my comprehension and recognition of it. My mothers perspective I’d describe as from a view informed by more esoteric philosophy and psychological understanding. I’ve spoken to some who were out-and-out “witches”, others in the purely sociological or natural scientific, some too purely from their political and ideological perspectives. It seems that those all these disparate lenses in which their interpretation of the world is formed - we are all looking at the same thing. Perhaps only segments of it in a broad unknowingly interconnected tapestry of abstract concepts, we are recognising something yet undefinable. My experience, seeing the cross over between groups and this singular recognition, and the reaction from those who do not yet recognise this thing (dejection and to be disabused) seems like the emergence of a new awareness of a potentially shared unity in perspective on humanity itself.

Look , lets say there is geo engineering - seeding the rain fall . Its being done or not , doesn't matter but we are talking about it . You successfully freaked me out and given me hope at the same time. I agree the field of psychiatry can be destructive and trauma seems to underlie most psychiatric conditions and yet seems to be ignored by psychiatrists, presumably because we have no medications for it. As a trauma therapist, I run into that all the time. I use spiritual principals where I can to help my clients, and could use them more. I like the idea of spiritual activism, as I am both a therapist and an activist since 2016, when the Wetigo was elected president in America. Or Loki. Whatever. It's one of those blessings that spends a great deal of time in disguise and makes you miserable enough that you make a great change. Or not.

The night time dreams are the biological body's way of offering to us a memory platform upon which we can then structure actions in a situation where previously we FELT we had no options . The day time dreams are the way to create a memory platform upon which we can then structure solutions and take actions in a situation where previously we FEEL we have no options . Understanding that a STORY needs to event , so as to be able to structure on it , and that the creation of that story is being done by someone somewhere and somehow . At this point , the collective is structuring a story upon which an action can be taken . This is based on Bowlby's theory that Food , Rest , and caring guidance is necessary for the childs identity to feel safe enough to self structure . If those three components are in anyway destabilized and controlled with conditions , the biological body will create a separate identity to MIRROR the dominating system , Personality , or contracted relationship ( Parent , lover , child , boss , leader , teacher ) so as to best be able to wrestle with and hopefully wrest back the control of those three components - food , rest, and caring guidance . Now , a step apart from bilogical body and identity , and now its survival and ego , and beyond that to actual human social structure and nature / earth . I think that Mr Levy is a hero .

Really a great discussion, but you almost need to direct people to specific examples, BOTH examples where you are SURE other people are delusional, and examples where you AGREE and don't realize you have fallen into a collective delusion. Seeing things from multiple points of view has been the only tool I've found to catch myself at all, and even then I easily fall back into "belief" because it simplifies "reality" enough that I'm willing to act in the world and not just cower in uncertainty what IS.

One author John Michael Greer characterized the New Ager movement like this: He said "The New Age started with a powerful question 'What if we created our own reality?' and over time they just dropped the 'What if?'" There's FAIR logic that says we do "create our own reality", but only if we mean that our perceptions are a "false reality" we've created to avoid anxiety about a larger reality we're not mature enough to acknowledge. If we remember partly we are all "scared little monkeys" that is useful. Much of what we "create" are defenses that limit what we can see.
