Paul Lynde did come up with some of his own "Bluff answers" (in other words, sarcastic answers that were often incorrect), but some of the actual bluff answers and zingers were written by the writing staff on Hollywood Squares.
@PaulLyndeBlueАй бұрын
You're definitely correct on that comment. People always seem to assume that every answer that is correct is given to the cast & they are supposed to read that answer as if they (the stars) are too stupid to use their brains. People back then knew how to use their brains... The stars were NOT given the CORRECT answers, they were given bluff answers "if you don't know the answer off the top of your head after thinking about the answer... use this one." The stars were also given the categories to what their questions might be about. But were never given the actual answer.

Back for more! Favourites: 1:39:35 1:45:31 1:48:08 1:51:05 2:08:57 Paul Lynde is the funniest person I’ve ever watched. When I was a kid, I remember seeing him on the Emmy Awards with a chimp. My memory is of him saying something to the affect that she had forgotten her deodorant, and of Julie Andrews laughing in the audience….My mother loved him, and we had a great time watching him on Bewitched, too. Thanks for posting the great video!
