Based on the documentary "Get back", I can imagine the process of composing this song: Paul creating the melody on the piano and already thinking about all the instruments, passing the guitar solo that was in his head to the guitarist, as well as the drums . Genius!

I had to see this live version to convince myself that it really is Paul's vocals. It sounds so very different from his singing voice and style somehow.

Many artists start to lose 'it' as they get older. I find myself enjoying their live performances as they age. But I have to hand it to Paul, he's still going strong! A pleasure to listen to! I hope he'll live to 100.

Has to be one of the best Jools Holland performances ever and that's saying something - takes me back to 73 please can I go back in time it was wonderful. The music alone was fab!
@gabrielal13642 жыл бұрын
The next year, he will turn 80 years old and I can't avoid to think that, despite the age, he's still young inside! Look at the way he moves his head like the old days when he sang this song in the 70's, the way he smiles when he plays the piano and his facial expressions are the same like his young days... really impressed! But, the most important thing is he's still going on! The years have passed but his creativity and musical skills keep in. Definitely, one of the best songwriters in the music history who has shown that the age isn't excuse for to do several things. Paul, keep enjoying the music a lot!!!! Really proud of you and all you have done in your music career👏✨

After 20 years , perhaps more found out this was the opening song of a TV radio show back in the 90's. My mother used to listen to this show every single day for years and it was the exact time I was waking up , getting ready for school. This song defined my childhood without having a clue it was a Paul's song. Now i know. Plus the title is about the year I was born. Thank you Paul for making my childhood better.
