Paul McCartney Archive Collection What If… ?

I'd like to see a box set for Back to the Egg. The bonus material can include the audio and film from the concert for the people of Kampuchea, which was performed by this line up of Wings. I only have the Venus and Mars McCartney Collection edition, but I have it on vinyl. It has the original album, inserts and a bonus album of extra material. I also bought the mono Ram and Red Road Speedway original 2 lp set editions. They were sold as limited vinyl releases independent of the box sets. None of those albums listed for more than $60 as I recall. Quite frankly, I don't need those books and pictures. The music is more important.

So true. I’m starting to think they should just remaster these albums. Then do a bonus disc with remastered singles b sides and some outtakes.

I always said the "Back To The Egg" box set should had the album remastered including bonus tracks especially "Goodnight Tonight" & "Daytime, Night time Suffering", "The Concert For Kampuchea" which was the last tour with that Wings line up on audio & DVD/BLU-RAY/4K and the "Back To The Egg" special with the music videos. That's what I want in that box set.

BTTE would make a great box with all the audio and video bonuses. All that would be amazing. But expensive.

Yes he did. A few are done from all of these albums actually. Aside from the Unplugged one.

I'd love a Back to the Egg box, with the singles and the unreleased song called Cage, and a DVD of the concert for Kampuchea. As of now I can only afford the 2 CD version, but it would be great for the fans to be able to get the box. Also it would be great if they focused on the music instead of the grafic aspects, that would keep the cost down. Also a London Town box with Watersprout in the bonus disk would be appreciated.

Great video. Absolutely fantastic. Yes, the archive collection must come back and in my mind you have a wings 78 to 80 set. Just like the wings over Europe. You can throw in one of maybe a live performance of wings in 1979 or 80. Then I think you have Broad Street and flaming pie as a double set. Kind of the late 80sPaul. And then my last double set would be off the ground and unplugged. I would skip tripping the live fantastic.

I could see them doubling up a lot of these. At least the LT/BTTE and GMRTBS/PTP. The others I think would just release on their own.

Hopefully they do something soon with those albums. Even just a remaster with one bonus disc would be nice. I didn’t think of that until I was working on the edit.

Hello Beatle Dustineo YES they need to complete the archive editions off the Ground would do So well with all the b sides included and Paul is live with all the songs left off the original album and unplugged should get a proper release with all the songs that where performed Please universal and MPL continue!!! I dont think all these albums need big box sets. I'm happy with a good remaster and bonus disc. However, I would never down anybody who preferred more material.

I got thinking that after filming this. These remaining albums could do well with a remaster and a disc of bonus material including the singles from the time. Homer I’d like to see Broad Street released with the film too.

Nice video but just my thoughts on this is EMI is not making enough returns on these big expensive Archives on McCartneys past records The McCartney Archives pales next to the Lennon boxes Not enough demos and unreleased music on the archives Don’t think they sell very well so I don’t think it’s worth the money for the record companies to put them out Just my thoughts

@@BeatleDustino couldn't agree more. The Wings Over America archive box is nice as far as the books go but the music was thin, the bonus was the same as the Best Buy bonus, so it was not essential, and it was so expensive!

I have always had a soft spot for "Give My Regards to Broad Street", not sue how to expand it to an archive set but I would be interested in it as well!

I think that one would be tough. There are all those variations on No More Lonely Nights. But not sure on much else part that. I think a nice package with the remastered album, a disc with some outtakes and single variations and the Blu-ray of the film would be nice. I might be making a new video on a new idea how they can continue the remastering of these last albums. Stay tuned.

“Flowers In The Dirt” Archive Collection came out at the same time as the 4CD set “Pure Mccartney” which, from what i heard is why there’s no songs from “Flowers In The Dirt” on “Pure Mccartney”. So the idea that the Japanese SHM discs are skipping “London Town” means another Archive Collection is not that far fetched.

Boxed sets are very hit or miss for me. I have to really like the artist or album to purchase one. Apple, MPL and the Lennon and Harrison estates know that fans will purchase anything and I think they are using that demand to take advantage of their own fans.

I don’t know. Guess I haven’t heard that. I know he loves Arrow Through Me after the Lyrics book and people were suspecting BTTE was on the way because of that comment.

They’re kind of a reprise shortened version of a song from earlier in the album that they use to tie in or “ link” another track later in the album.
